Sometimes i run away. I know i am really too old to be running away but sometimes i still do it :) I am a free soul.

I ran away from home last Friday and spend the whole weekend walking around and round and taking pictures. Taking pictures always make me happy. The need to get out and about and to see things is one of the reasons why my life is such and the reason why i am still without another half by my side. I have not really searched for my other half through mountains and valleys and the great seas and i still have not found him yet. Ahh... oh woe is me. I might just end up old and crinkly with no one to hold my hands :(

After leaving some instructions on the white board for my dad to feed Dom his food and medicine, i told my Curly i am taking off. He tried to fit into my backpack but lately... he's kinda on the heavy side. He couldn't even fit one of his feet into my backpack. *LOL* I think i might just have to put him on a vegetarian diet soon.

Dommy: Who you calling FAT? I am just big boned you know. And its just all furry furs.

Dad sent me off in the morning to the railway station and he even packed my favourite egg tarts for me to eat just in case i got hungry on the way. What can i say... i am still daddy's little girl :D

These eggtarts are yummy fellas. My all time favourite... and you kind of have to queue to buy them. I guess my dad loves me quite a lot. Yes yes... i am gloating.

Since it was also my 50th birthday (i think its my 50th or was it 60th cos i stop counting after my 30th), my dad went to the bakery early in the morning and got me a white chocolate cake :) The bakery was just opening and they didn't have anyone to write my name on the cake.

My dad came home with the cake and insisted to put a letter N to spell my name. So he took out some red paper and tried to cut the letter N real fast as i have a train to catch in an hour's time. He cut a few times and finally got the letter N.

My beautiful cake. It was more beautiful with the letter N.

I said goodbye to my Curly... grabbed my bag and my dad sent me off to the railway station. I bet Dom was howling for quite a while after i left. He always howls sadly when i leave him. I didn't know about this until my sister told me about it. I went out for a while and left him in the house with my sister once. He just howled and howled. My sister was so scared and thought he was in pain. That was when we found out he howled when i am not with him.

I always choose to leave the ones that love me the most. But i always come back. I choose to run away on this birthday because i always run away from situations and things. I don't fight with anyone. I just walk away. I don't fight for what i want, because i believe that if it was mine to begin with, it will be with me in the end.

My journey on the train ended up in Kuala Lumpur. My friend picked me up and we went by car to another city. The historical city called Malacca.

I dragged.. practically dragged and forced one of my best buddies to take the day off work on Friday and spend the day with me :) She loves to be photographed and i love to photograph things and furries mostly. Don't tell her that. *LOL* I love to photograph doors, windows and buildings and she loves to have her photos taken.

She is one of my best buddies because she will always drop what she is doing and make time for friends like us. Even if we end up old and crinkly without a hand to hold one day, i know i will still have hands of family and friends to hold. It will be not quite the same but it will be okay. All you ever need is just a few good friends and family and a furry or two or three.. or maybe a lot of furries.

I believe some of us are always looking and looking for the other half to make us complete. I sure hope my other half is not sipping Tequila Sunrise in Timbaktu. It is a long way to Timbaktu :) I don't know if i know how to get there.

I am actually quite happy last weekend... my dad made my birthday most memorable. I am touched by his actions. Even though i am still getting nagged and nagged and nagged daily even though i am in my 50s now... i guess in his heart, i will always be his little girl.
What on earth have i done? Not much actually.. *LOL*

We've just noticed that our last post was last Wednesday. At the rate we are going, we'll be losing all our friends... urmmm.. our ratings and traffic lights and urmm... not that we have much to begin with :)

We (Curly and i) would like to apologise for our lack of show lately. We've been buried deep reading the book above by Robert Fulghum. He's one of our favourite authors because his stories are funny and short.. not too deep... and more closer to home. I think we got most of his books, some are passed on, some lost in some boxes in someone's home and one more not bought yet :) Do you like his books?

We are also deep in some research of a fun kind. We are analyzing some fellas and taking loads of pics of them. They are really wonderful models. Not the bikini types but they were very spontaneous and a joy to be photographed.

These two fellas above brought a really small fella into our garden a week ago. The small fella was somehow lost and without his mom. Scared and quite defensive, it kept calling out for its mom but she never came. These two fellas took over and kept the small fella under their wings. They even nudge the small fella and made him eat.

I am not much of a cat person truthfully speaking. I was bitten by a cat when i was a kid. We were playing at the backlane of my grandma's house and one of my sisters accidentally stepped on a pregnant cat's tail. The cat just turned around and bit me instead.

After that episode, i always stayed quite far away from stray cats. *LOL* Actually i was bitten by a dog too when i was a kid. But i've always loved dogs. Maybe i might be a bit biased here ^.^

But these few cats that come by each day show me a different side to cats. They learn to trust you and come to you. They are quite playful and so quiet. Well... most of them are quiet except for one tomcat who always complains when dinner is late. *LOL*

We've actually been quite busy with work. A lot of new things need to be sourced and revamped. But it has been a good month. A whole weight's been lifted off my shoulders yesterday.

Our grand aunt came all the way from London for a visit. Still looks the same. The little old lady still looking very pink and pretty. The last time i saw her was 11 years ago on my sister's wedding. At 93, she was not allowed to fly back here alone. She had to get medical papers to show that she was fit to fly and she had to have someone to accompany her on the flight. Some of my aunts were asking her, aren't you afraid to fly so far at your age? She just smiles and said, what is there to be afraid. I am 93.

If you are fearless and happy like her, you get to live a very good and fruitful life.
