Anny is a confused child. She keep saying Pom Pom Pom. My name is Dom. How can she confused me with the red one. Pom and Dom.. there's a vast difference there.

Urmm... but she does call me Bom sometimes... and Booom.. and and... oh God! Get a grip girl. My name is Dom. Dom Perignon.

Dommy
Pom.

It is red... sometimes reddish orangey... but beautiful. It looks kinda like red apples but the skin is tough. It wears a lil crown and sometimes i think it looks like a christmas tree ornament :D

It taste differently from apples because apples makes crunchy sounds when you bite into them :) But Pom.. poms are just beautiful and full of vitamins.

We saw a couple of Poms (and not pom-pom girls) while we stopped by the fruits marketplace beside the highway. As usual, i needed to pee but before i ran off to pee... the red Poms caught my eye. My eyes must have lighted up instantly. I touched it.. and went off to pee.

When i got back into the car with yummy cups of corn... Stormy gave me my first ever Pom. A red red Pom all for myself... hehehehe.. I must have grinned wide and wider. I was like a little kid who was given her first dolly... or a girl who just got the biggest diamond.. hahahhahaa.. but diamonds never interests me. I won't know where to keep them *LOL*

Pomegranate. Pom for short.

Pomegranates are pretty expensive in Malaysia. I don't know why. One fruit costs about 6 bucks... or more or less... there. Pretty steep for just one fruit.

I do not know what are the miracles of pomegranates but a lot of people are going hoowaah hoowaah about it. You can try and google it. There's loads of stories about the red fruit that wears the crown.

The Pom speaks...

The skin of the pomegranate is very tough. Its quite hard to open the Pom without getting the juices everywhere. Here's how... we found a video on Youtube :p But we haven't tried it on our Pom yet. It is too precious to be eaten. So we hide it in the fridge. *LOL* Have fun watching the video below.

The pomegranate is native to Southwest Asia. It is widely cultivated throughout Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Syria, Turkey, the drier parts of southeast Asia, Peninsular Malaysia, the East Indies, and tropical Africa. (read more on wikipedia)

I Wanna Grow Old With You ~ Westlife
A followup to my last post on the Love Byte... i remember i got this on email a long time ago.

Most of the time, i work very long hours on the computer but my buddy will be patiently waiting beside me. Even when i go for a bath, he is sometimes outside the door waiting. I watch the tv, he is beside me too. When i am eating, he sits beside me... (but that is because he wants a part of my food) hehhehehee

I guess he is very protective of me. Or he is afraid i'll run off somewhere again without him. Sometimes he sighs a LOUD sigh to tell me he's there.. *LOL*

I probably should take a rest from the computer now and play with him :) He is bored... and each time i turn my head.. he looks at me with a "come play with me look" hehhehehe.. Poor Dommy.

Roll over now. Time for tummy rubs Dom :)
He looked up and nodded at her, his face lit by the glow of the monitor. He didn't notice the suitcase in her hand.

If only he has touched her half as much as he touched that keyboard, give her a fraction as much attention.

She sighed, wondering when he'd notice that she was gone.

This short story above is taken from the book i am reading now. Its a book of very very short stories. Just 55 words long for each story... hehhehehee.. ok ok i am a lazy bum. I find it hard to read dragging long books. And i got this book cheap. 4 bucks only :D
This is one of Boy's favourite dish. And i cook it all the time because its fast. So here i am, leaving his favourite dishes/recipes here for him for future reference (if he decides to cook one day).

Potato Beef Patties
  1. Boil some potatoes with skin intact for 15mins.
  2. Drain it and peel off the skin. Mash the potatoes in the pot itself. Add a pinch of salt, some pepper, minced shallots and garlic, 2-3 few drops of Maggi seasoning (optional)
  3. Open a can of corn beef and scoop 3 big spoons of corn beef into the potatoes.
  4. Add a few drops of sesame oil.
  5. A little bit of corn flour.
  6. One egg.
  7. Mix them all together and let it set for a while.
  8. Heat up the pan. Put some oil. Let it all warm up and spoon a tablespoon of the mixture to make small pieces of patties.
  9. Deep fried them for a while or until brown.
Corn beef in a can is already cooked. So the frying is quite fast. You can use minced chicken / pork / beef. You can bake it in an oven too. Just scoop a spoonful of the mixture on a dish and bake them like cookies :D Just put a bit of oil or butter.

Here's how mine looks. They don't look very appealing... and uniformed.. hahhahahaa.. but its nice laa when you are famished *LOL*

tadaaaaaaaaaaa!

Today i added a brown sauce to go with it so its not too dry.

Stir-fry some onions in a little bit of oil. In a bowl, mix some corn flour, water, dark soya sauce, a dash of light soya sauce and a pinch of salt.

As you can see below, i added a wee bit too much dark soya sauce... so my sauce is a bit darrrkkkk.. hehhehehee.. but ok laa.. its still edible. And you don't choke on the meat when its too dry. So a brown sauce complements this dish.

Happy trying folks. Its actually very delicious when you are hungry and goes well with rice. Children loves this meat patties.

Note to Boy (the future one who will be cooking one day)
Don't add too many drops of the Maggi seasoning. Few drops is enough. A dash or two only.
This morning i woke up with a jump. Practically jumped up and nearly fell off the bed.. hahahhahaa... I heard dad shouting.. "YOU ARE LIKE YOUR MOTHER.. NEVER EARLY". Boy was late for school.. actually late for his ride. My uncle was waiting outside... and he was still combing his hair.

Dad is very particular about punctuality. He is always punctual and always early.. never late. He gets very irritated and agitated when he has to wait too long. My siblings and i... there's four of us. All girls. Three of us are usually punctual. My eldest sis.. is usually never punctual. *LOL* I used to wait hours for her. And i mean hours. Boy.. well... he takes after his mom. Never punctual. Maybe its in the genes.

Since little, my dad have always stressed to him about being punctual and never let people wait for you. But teenagers... they like to take their own sweet time and even going anywhere... he is never early. I don't really know how to teach him about punctuality.

Punctuality is everything. When you go to work, its good to be punctual. When you go to the airports... always be punctual and be few hours early. When you go for interviews, don't be on time... be early.. very early and make a good impression.

I sometimes wonder if punctuality runs in the genes or maybe it can be taught.

And alarm clocks. Why bother having alarm clocks when you don't hear them at all. *LOL* Sis and Boy.. same. The alarm clock will be ringing for hours... both will be sound asleep. Without a wink... *LOL* I am beginning to think that its in the genes.

Some mornings (like today) i am tortured. Even Dommy, if his paws can reach his ears.. he'll closed them with his paws. Both of us just looked at each other.

Dad wakes at 5am. I go to sleep only at 2am. By 6am, i hear some banging sometimes... and the door opening and closing and the sliding door sliding open shut open shut... both Dommy and I are weary eyed... will just look at each other. By 7am, both of them will be out of the house. Both of us can continue with our sleep peacefully then for an hour more.

But today, i had a shock and decide to get up. Both Dommy and i strolled in the garden and i started work after that. It took 2 cups of coffee to keep me up through the day on days like this. When my day starts, there's no end till i lay down to sleep again.

I hope maybe tomorrow there will be less clanking and banging. But then again, i should be thankful for the noises and the company :D
Baywatch Miami in Malaysia :)

In Penang, we have Miami Beach too. I am not sure how Miami Beach landed in Malaysia but we sure didn't find Pamela Anderson in her tiny red swimming suit manning this tower below.

Its a very nice bay... and quite popular with picnickers. I remember swimming here when i was a kid. I come to Penang quite often with my parents and siblings long time ago. We ate laksa after a swim too. Laksa is always extra doubly delicious after u swim. They have the hawkers beside the road. But we saw less hawkers this time.

Ahh... i love the beach. It calls to me and it brings back many happy memories.

I am wondering why the signboard points Batu Feringgi skywards... hehehehehehee

Isn't it beeeeeeeeeeeyoootiful? and serene? Still no lifeguards or lifeguard babes in tiny red swimming suits. *LOL*

Corn... steamed or barbequed... is delicious at the beach :)
I saw this on Star Online a while ago. It was an interview done recently by Star Online. Here we see her talking candidly about 1Malaysia. Her legacy will live on.

I lost a friend yesterday night. A dear friend.

The skies are even weeping now. We do not deserve her. God loves her more. I guess when we test God's patience too much, he will take her home.

She's all about love and forgiveness. I do not know her personally even though i call her my friend. She is always in my head, reminding and reminding. She is my inspiration when life is tough. She reminds me to forgive when its hard. She taught me to be human when i am not.

This is indeed a sad day. But she is now free. In a better place.

Beautiful soul... May you rest in peace Yasmin and May all the angels take care of you wherever you go. Thank you for touching my life and thank you for making a difference. You will continue to inspire and you will continue to live in us.

1Malaysia. Our new Prime Minister is trying to achieve that.

But someone else is way ahead of him. Someone by the name of Yasmin Ahmad. Over the years, she has protrayed 1Malaysia in most of her Petronas adverts. Malaysians loved the Petronas ads. Regardless of race, color and creed, we all look forward to the ads during the festive seasons. There's a lesson to be learnt in all the ads.

The lessons...
  1. To be nice to our old folks
  2. To be tolerant of each other's religion and culture
  3. Go home for the festive seasons
  4. Don't forget the ones that are waiting at home
  5. Don't wait too long to make it home once in a while
  6. Children are color blind... they don't know color and creed

and many more.

I've to thank her for reminding me constantly to be human. Sometimes in our crazy rat race, we forget to step back and take a look at ourselves. Sometimes we forget to be human. Everything i do, i have a tiny Yasmin by my shoulder whispering and reminding me with her adverts. I do not know her personally but she has touched my life in many ways.

She had a stroke yesterday and now lay in the hospital recovering. I hope everyone realise what a gem she is to our country. How her contributions to Malaysia made all the difference. How her work has brought us all together to be 1.

Religion never teaches us to be bad. I wonder why some common folks are still condemning her. Heartless souls. You know who you are. She is pure in my eyes.

Though some of her works are not allowed to see the light of day here in her own homeground, it has gained much fame all over the world.

Pray for her speedy recovery. Please God, don't take her away. She is a special one. She is what 1Malaysia is all about.

This is one of my all time favourite advert by Yasmin.

This is priceless.

Fort Cornwallis is an old star-shaped fort located on the northeastern coast of Penang, Malaysia. It is named after the late 18th century Governor-General of Bengal, India, Charles Cornwallis, 1st Marquess Cornwallis. Fort Cornwallis is the largest standing fort in Malaysia. (info from Wikipedia)

Entrance to Fort Cornwallis... ooo.. eerie looking too

Or so we thought.. hahahhahaa.. the entrance was on the other side... We were both melting and poofed after walking quite a distance to find that we are at the wrong entrance *LOL*

But this gateway was pretty cool looking :)

We decided its too hot at 3pm to walk to the other entrance.. :p so we left it and return to the car which was quite a distance when its super hot and hazey... hehhehehehe In our heads, we were screaming for cold super cold coconut water :D

This looks like a cell. When a tourist suddenly came into the window on the other side, both of us kinda got spooked. *LOL*

Ahh... and this was my special encounter at Fort Cornwallis :) Nice lil doggie basking in the sun on a bed of grass... he/she looked contented. The great guardian of Fort Cornwallis.

You Belong To Me ~ The Duprees

You Belong To Me - Vonda Shepard (Ally McBeal)

I kinda like the version by Vonda Shepard :) Which one do you like?

I call this my special Poo Book. Its a lovely red and is a gift from a loved one. Its still wrapped in plastic. Haven't written anything on it yet. Just want to keep it like this for a while. It should be filled soon.

Why Poo Book?

This book is made from 75% elephant dung and paddy paper. Don't worry. It doesn't even smell :) Its perfected in Sri Lanka from Maximus.

A short detail of how the product is made.
  1. Elephant eating
  2. Elephant pooing
  3. Boil the poo
  4. Pulp it
  5. Walla... and you have paper

There is a bigger story behind this book. Maximus is the BBC World Challenge 2006 Winner.

Its also about conservation and saving the Elephas Maximus. Hopefully this “Elephant Dung” paper will help to provide a sustainable environment for man and elephant for a long time. Both will in sing in harmony and a beautiful relationship will co-exist.

Variations in the elephant’s diet, age and dental state give each batch of paper a unique colour and texture. Colour varies with the type of food consumed: Coconut, Kitul or Jak. Texture depends on whether the Elephant is able to chew the food or not. Fully digested fibre gives the paper a smooth finish while half digested fibre makes the paper coarser. (excerpt from Maximus)

I wonder how old was the elephant and what it ate to give me a beautiful red book. I love my poo book. Thank you Stormy! Happy trails to you.

Penang is basically a foodie haven. You see food here food there.. and food is delicious everywhere. Food is also quite affordable and you get quite a good deal.

My memories of Penang has always been laksa, beach, rojak buah, beach, nasi kandar, beach, sotong goreng, beach, fried kuey teow, beach, popiah, beach, coconut, beach *LOL* The beach is a big draw.

Let us share with you what we've achieved on this trip.

We stopped by the pier to buy some coconut juice and i chatted up a local and asked her about nasi kandar. She mentioned Pelita at Market Street. But with our navigating skills, we both ended up here.

Kassim Mustafa for nasi kandar. Nasi Kandar was very delicious here. We were famished. When i looked at the rows of dishes.. i wanted to take everything. The glutton that is me. But i settled for fried chicken and crabs. Yummieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Sorry. Forgot to take pics of the food as my fingers dug into the plate of rice and both of us never stopped eating till we burped. I can still recall the scent from my fingers of the nasi kandar... bliss. I was smelling my fingers all the way back to the hotel :D

We had the yumyums below for dinner at the food court in Tanjong Bungah. Its not a hoity toity place and the food was great. Even the drinks and juices were nice.

This is prawn mee or "mee udang" as the locals call it. The sauce is berry berry delicious. Stormy tells me that there's a stall in Sungai Dua in Butterworth. Its famous for mee udang. And the prawns are very fresh.
This was delicious too. And the prawns are cooked just right. Not overcooked and hard.
This is fried mee udang. Just as delicious... Aiyaa.. now my tummy is growling like a bear.

Satay. We took this a bit too late. Already finished half of it.. hehehhehee

Sotong Kangkong with rojak sauce.

Rojak with lotta fruits and a thick thick sauce...

dejavuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.. hehhehehehehe

here we go again... hahhahahahahaha
If Stormy didn't take pictures of the food, i won't have any pictures of food to show you. *LOL* I am such a glutton. The minute i see food, i dug in.
And we had fried kuey teow too. Delicious too and three :)
In the morning i ran across the road to buy nasi lemak from the stall in front of Holiday Inn. The stalls sells a very delicious prepacked nasi lemak for RM1.20 a pack. It has a big prawn inside the pack of nasi lemak. Only in Penang will you get a big mother of a prawn in a RM1.20 pack of nasi lemak. And some fresh fried hot chicken :) We just couldn't stop eating.. hahaha
I hope i have maybe minutely tantalize you with all this food to go to Penang :) I am sure one of my sisters will kick me soon for posting all this food pictures and make her salivate and miss Malaysian food more. Its my diabolical plan to pester her home soon with my godson.
This trip is a bit short because i didn't find the Blue House yet. Let's go again Stormy :) Soon ya!
Stormy and Anny went for a holiday and all they got me was this. Cool eh?

Its a Billabong wannabe cap. It reads Billabing.. or was it Billabang... i can't spell very well. I am just a doggie. But i am sure it was not a Bong *woof*

I would rather prefer treats instead of a Billa wannabe cap. So next time you scoot off anywhere without me, you both better bring me back some deelicious treats... or i'll i'll err.. urmm.. i'll i'll... urmm...

But i kinda like this Billa Billa... it fits pretty well. Don't ya think so?

Dommy

Billabong is a clothing brand and public company (ASX: BBG) traded on the Australian Securities Exchange (as Billabong International) since August 11 2000. Billabong was founded in 1973 by Gordon and Rena Merchant.
The name came from the same word
billabong, which is a stagnant body of water attached to a waterway. (more on Wikipedia)
When we go for holidays, we always do our hotel bookings online in advance. Usually we get better deals if we book online. But this trip was kind of unplanned. Sometimes when we plan too much, Murphy's Law will step in. *LOL*

We wanted to stay at Lone Pine but it was under refurbishment till 2010. And so we thought... its Thursday... there's so many hotels in Penang... we should be able to get rooms easily. With the stopover in Kuala Kangsar to eat and click click click of pictures... we rolled into Penang when it was almost dusk. Both of us are clueless of Penang roads but the road signs were not all that bad.

Stormy decided to test out the GPS on his blackberry to find Tanjong Bungah.. hehehhehehe.. After a long while, we got an image on the GPS that says... "You Are Here" with a dot... and the rest of the screen was white. We were both laughing like idiots... and kept asking the blackberry.. so where are we?? But it never answered us.

We took a wrong turn and ended up in town. While catching some sights, we ended up at Komtar and said hi to Lim Guan Eng. We even thought about calling Lim Guan Eng and ask him how to reach Tanjong Bungah.. *LOL* Not that we know Lim Guan Eng personally.

The GPS was still a white screen... and with the "You Are Here".. hehhehehehee

We finally found the road to Batu Feringgi and was going uphill and i suddenly recalled some places i've been to before when i was a kid. We used to go to Penang quite often for holidays when i was little. We always go for the laksa. It is delicious.

While on Batu Feringgi the GPS suddenly picked up the map and now we are in business. I was driving while Stormy was navigating.. hehehhee.. with the clueless GPS. We were kind of looking for hotels in the dark... and suddenly Stormy said.. Holiday Inn.. let's stay at Holiday Inn. The GPS states that we've already passed Holiday Inn... and the road is quite windy and going uphill to turn around. So we said.. nevermind... we'll find another hotel. Then he said.. hey.. we passed Holiday Inn again. And we were both stumped. hehehhehe

We moved on... and reached a row of hotels. We tried Shangri-La but it was wayyyyyyy over our budget.. hahhahahahaa... we quietly came out. Then we passed The Ship and Eden... and then i saw Park Royal's signboard. So we stopped and asked. We finally booked a room for a night. We thought maybe we'll find another hotel tomorrow. The room faces the road but it was okay. The beachfront rooms were all pre-booked (always book you rooms online). And so we went into the room... and open the curtains to check out the sights. Guess what greeted us.

Holiday Inn blinking and grinning at us from across the road... *LOL* Both of us were wondering how many Holiday Inn's are there in Penang. We had a good laugh over the blinking Holiday Inn from across the road. It was like mocking us. Dang!

We decided to run across and check if they have any rooms available for the next night. And so.. after dinner... we walked across to Holiday Inn and asked at the reception. The girl said they are fully booked for tomorrow and so we said thank you and left. When we were walking out, i was telling Stormy... how come the girl is wearing the same uniform as the hotel we were staying in.

When we walked out and looked at the hotel we were staying at... we have Holiday Inn blinking and mocking us again. We felt like total idiots.. hahhahahahaha.. we didn't even know we were staying at Holiday Inn. All along i thought that we drove into Park Royal. Park Royal is beside Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn have 2 wings. One is on the other side of the road and is connected by an overhead bridge. *phew*

What a day. But it was hilariously funny. Guess we were destined to stay at Holiday Inn. So we booked another night... but the reception told us that they MIGHT be fully booked tomorrow and asked us to check again tomorrow.. *LOL*

We did get another night at Holiday Inn the next day (they even send us a big platter of fruits)... but we had to move to another room... which was nicer.. and we have another extra 2 kiddies bed... with a playstation too. Too bad the kids were not with us.

Moral of the story is... Always book in advance... and find out where the hotel is. Secondly, don't trust GPS.. *LOL* But all said and done, it was fun and funny and no one got angry. That is the thing with Stormy. Stormy hardly gets mad in situations like this. He just laughs it all off. These are my very precious memories with Stormy. Just in case i lose my memory one day, i can still find it all here.
A love story unfolds itself before us while we were at Gurney Drive, Penang.

These two folks were just taking in the air while waiting for their friends to finish taking in the sights. The lady was in the car waving to her love. They were chatting and smiling and the lady kept waving to him. And both will smile. The lady looks frail and just sat in the car but she had on a most beautiful smile and she looked happy each time she waved to the man.

I bet they have a great love story to share if i dared to ask. Stormy asked me to take a picture of the lovely couple because we will never see them again. Its always great to see old folks still so much in love. It makes us have more faith in love. Cos love will always find its way home.

Gurney Drive is a pretty cool nice place to just sit and enjoy the cool air. It is lined with Casuarina trees all along the drive. Its romantic and cool. Its a very popular seafront tourist destination.

Loads of hawker stalls lined the first part of Gurney Drive and in the evenings, you'll be spoilt for choice on what to eat. You will go crazy because you really want to eat everything you see there. Happened to me before and i just went bazooka when i open my eyes wide with saliva almost dripping off my silly mouth when i saw all the food laid in front of me.. *LOL* I am capable of drooling unconciously.
While we were whizzing about in Kuala Kangsar in Malaysia, we found a spot of London. The famous London telephone booth.

Actually we do see a few of these red telephone booths in Malaysia of late. I wonder who has been bringing these telephone booths in and confusing a lot of tourists... hehehhehee

One minute you think that you are in London and the next.. urmm... you are in Kuala Kangsar :) Pretty cool ya! Its like a teleporting machine.. hehhehehe.. What's more confusing is.. there's Kuala Kangsar and London written on the box.

You can read more about the history of the red booths from wikipedia link below :)

The red telephone box, a public telephone kiosk designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is a familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom, Malta, Bermuda and Gibraltar, and despite a reduction in their numbers in recent years, red boxes can still be seen in many places and current or ex-British Colonies around the world. The colour red was chosen to make them easy to spot. (info from Wikipedia)
It was a bright bright day when Stormy came by and whisked me away :) Off we went in the silver speed of a ride.. grinning like little kids. Stormy was home for a while and finally made it here.

We did a stopover in Kuala Kangsar and had one of the best salted fish fried rice and mee goreng.. and and tom yam too by the riverbank. It was simply deelicious. Small towns always offer some of the best simple food.

I caught London in Kuala Kangsar :D and a big big green plane too :)

Folks in Kuala Kangsar were smiling generously when i aim the camera at them... they grin broadly when i simply click away. When i went to buy some paus that Kuala Kangsar is famous for... the girl in the kitchen just whispered "abis" to me... hehhehee.. I find it so amusing. She practically whispered softly. Such soft spoken women.

We went on our way and stopover at a reststop to relive ourselves. It is one of the more beautiful and pleasant stops. Because what greeted us was the row of pink and white flower trees when we drove into the reststop. Stormy said.. take picture take picture.. hehhehee.. I didn't because i really had to pee. It was like a Sakura feeling. Kinda like cherry blossoms. But they are not cherry blossoms. It was just a very beautiful place. I just found out that the trees are called Tabebuia Rosea or Pink Trumpets.

Off we went on our way to Penang. I finally sank my feet into the beach again *smile*

Today my ole neighbour friend came by for a visit. He walked quite far to come back to his ole neighbourhood to visit us. Sometimes he drops by when he manage to free himself and run wild and free back home. I think he still prefers our neighbourhood.

His new house is few rows of houses away and he has to cross a big wide road. He is a brave lil doggie. He was knocked down by a car before. His hind leg still bear the scars.

I don't know why he's thin like skeleton. His owners treat him very well and always buys good food for him. Maybe he doesn't have any friends in his new neighbourhood.

I had a fun time running around with my ole neighbour. I forgot his name. But we were having a swell time running up and down and sharing some cookies and water too.

Anny says that we were like practising silat. But we were just trying to out-pee and out run each other while marking all the important spots.

Joejer came to visit me too this morning. Uncle Joe says that Joejer is getting old. He is 12x7=84 years old. Uncle says Joejer has cataract. I wonder if i have it too because Boy and Anny is always saying i have when i bark at strangers that come to the house.

Today i am very happy. I have two visitors that came by to play with me. I am totally poofed. But big smiles big smiles today. Think i need my 40x2 winks now.

love,
Dommy

Silat is the art of self defence. Its a combative art of fighting and survival and it has been developed in Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam civilizations for centuries into social culture and tradition. (read more here on Wikipedia).

In The Arms Of An Angel ~ Sarah McLachlan

Sarah McLachlan and her beautiful haunting voice. I've always love this song from the movie City Of Angels.

Circumstances sometimes do not allow us to be in the arms of our angels. We have become slaves of circumstances and excuses.

Sometimes i do not know whether to laugh or cry. I just go numb and kick the stones in the garden.

Woke up this morning and took Dommy out to have his sniff and pee in the garden. We came back in and i'll give him his usual cookies and a treat of beef jerky. Then i loaded the clothes to the machine to wash.

After that I went and sat in the loo to think about life greatest mysteries *LOL*

Dad came home from his walks in the park. He took Dom out into the garden again. Thinking that Dom has not had his pee and poo... hehhehehee.. Dommy being Dommy went out happily and did the sniff and pee another round.

The both came in and Dommy being Dommy sat down with an eager and hungry face. Dad open his beef jerky treat bag and took out this.

Tears the small pack of the above pack into Dommy's bowl and walked into the kitchen with the open pack and asked me... what's this?? Is this Dommy's food.

My eyes went big... i flipped.. ran to Dommy's bowl. Lucky he was just sniffing it. I think i nearly went kapoots this morning. Dad just went.. i didn't know what it was laa.

Its probably all my fault too. I buy all this treats in weird packs for Dommy.. hahhahahaha Dommy being Dommy is forever greedy. But you can't blame him too.. he's just a doggie.. hahhahaahaa

Dad is probably getting old. He don't want to read instructions on things anymore. Or he's just probably bored. He just asks me lot of questions everyday. Now he knows that i am angry, he tries not to annoy me.. hahahhahahahhaa. I am not angry.

The picture above is an oxygen absorber.
Oxygen absorbers comes in tiny packs in powder form and are usually packed together with food products especially in reseal bags of dry food. (read more here on Wiki)

We have to be careful with this tiny packs of oxygen absorbers especially with kids and old folks. They really do not know what it is and might just think that its part of the extras in the food packs.

I was in a strange place. It was breezy and cold. I met someone new. We talked and talked for a long time in a car. Its like we've known each other for a long time. The music and songs were playing. We were both singing to most of the songs. We were laughing a lot. The songs were all very very nice. When it was time to go, he just took out the chip from the player and gave it to me. He told me that all the songs and music are in there. If i listen to them, i will remember him.

And then i woke up. It was a dream.

I wonder who he is. Its like i've known him forever.

Dreams. I hardly dream much nowadays as my days are quite tiring sometimes. But some days are good.

Maybe i'll dream a lil dream of my friend again tonite :) I am left with a huge grin on my face and a lil spring in my walk when i thought about this dream the whole day. It was a lazee Sunday and girls like me are always a dreamer :D

goodnite peeps!
The days are getting cooler... now it rains more during the day and sometimes at night. I manage to put in more work in the afternoons as its cooler without the aircon.

Today has been a great day. I jumped out of the bed at 7.20 am... to shoo my nephew out of the door. He's late again. He's suppose to go for his first L driving licence class today and he had to be at the shop at 7.30am. As usual he is still checking his hair and face at 7.20... dang! How to teach a teenager about punctuality. Dad is already in the car waiting for this mister mister to be ready.. and zoooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoom to the shops which is about 5 mins away. Dad went off to church after dropping the kid. Dom and i crawled back into bed and slept.

We only woke up at 10am... hahahhahaa.. what a good life :D Only on Sundays.

Dad and i went off to Tescos to do some grocery shopping. Urmm. Don't worry Spiffy... i wasn't stalking you at Tesco. But the rest will if you wear your stripey shirt or Emila's printed Australia tee... *LOL* Maybe you'll even bump into Bem one day :)

Tesco was so crowded in the afternoons. I wanted to run out the minute i went in.. hahhahahaa.. but the grocery had to be done... chocolates were cheap today. We got 3 big bars.. yummmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... And its all Nessa's and Marzie's fault. Their chocolator story got me craving for chocolates.

I wanted to buy a pillow for my chair as my back is aching cos i do spend long hours on the computer... totally forgot about the pillow at Tesco today. Guess i have to go check out Ken's shop now. The cushions he made is pretty. It looks very classy. If you are moving to a new house/apartment and need some throw pillows to decorate your house, do drop by the online shop. Even if you are not moving into a new house, a few new pillows will just spruce up the house in a jiffy like a total makeover :)

The biggest item i bought today at Tesco is toilet roll... *LOL* while the smallest item is.. urmm... urmm... an onion i think *LOL*

To go with the flow of the lazee Sundays, i didn't cook at all today. I just love Sundays.
And here it is. The hour of the day to ramble and rant *LOL*

Not so much rantings these days. I am trying to get into the superhighway to heaven. So i haveta be good... and stop all the crap of a rant. And collect more brownie points. Urmm... i wonder how that works too.

If you have been visiting my other blog, you would be wondering why this lazy one is not updating much photos lately. Its suppose to be A Photo A Day kinda blog and its been many days and only a cat or two.. *LOL* My apologies. I have been a wee bit busy.

Haven't been out taking pictures. The furthest i went was to the front porch. Urmm.. the model was there. Waiting as usual in the dawn of day. Weird lil meow. He's always there in the mornings. (ops! i still have not checked if its a he or she). How do you check anyways? The probability of getting clawed or mauled or or jumped at is pretty high. I won't want to risk that i think... urm... so how do you check? hehehhehee

With the amount of pics i got of the meow (same meow every morning), you guys will be seeing a lot of cats over on the other side. It has become like a lil obsession with the meows.

I think cats make better models. They don't move much. They love to pose. They close their eyes most of the time (well... thats for me.. cos i always catch them sleeping on the job).

Doggies on the other hand... wag their tail too much.. hahahhaa.. they try to lick your face while you are trying to ask them to sit still.. or they'll get too close and lick your lens... and they will wriggle and move their body non-stop... hahhahahaa.. You try taking 100 shots and you will probably end up having mebbe 10 good ones if you are lucky. I think female doggies make better models. Piper won't even look at the camera. Dom on the other hand... best caught when he is sleeping too... *LOL*

Time to snooze... its getting late and tomorrow... another long day to finish the tasks on hand. My apologies to my blogger friends. I'll come visiting soon :)

I think i might just take a break next week and just scoot off to the beach. *shush* Don't tell no one :D goodnite folks!
Blueberries... if you have one too many blueberries, do you get blue lips, blue teeth and a big blue tongue?
yes you do! you sure will :D
That would be a smashing sight to behold and i would do be a willing photographer if you would like your blues to be shot.. hehhehehee

Blackberries... if you have one too many blackberries, do you get black lips, black teeth and a big ole black tongue?
nawwwwwwwwwww
You'll just be a crackberry with lotta berries in your pockets. You will have beep beep teeth and a beep beep tongue and lips that quiver and go beeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

I think i've finally cracked.

Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart ~ Gene Pitney

Today is another Soppy Love Song Day.. *LOL*

I just love soppy love songs when i am bored.. Even Dommy is bored. He just sent me a loud sigh.. hahhahahaha

I have loads to do before the week is up but i am bored... hmmm.. restless maybe..

Oraits... catch you all later. Now i got to spruce up some work before i get barked at.. hehehee... Not only dogs bark. Humans can even bark viciously on yahoo *LOL* Don't ask me how i decipher them as barks... ^-^

Down dog.. Down now.. Good Dog! *LOL*

Its been an hour since I decided to call it a night. My computer is off and so is the rest of the stuffs. The house is in darkness except for the tiny light in the hallway. And why am I still wideeeeeee awake when my eyes kept closing earlier..hehehehe
I am tossing and turning in bed when I should be a snooozing away an hour ago. Hmmmm.. Weird.
Dommy is already chasing meows in his dreams. I heard a tiny woof from his bed. He must be having a nice dream as his feet are facing up and his body is curled in a funny shape..hehehe
Whoops.. He has changed position. He is back on his poang :D
Oh boy.. I'll try n sleep again..or mebbe I should fire up the computer and the hub to get some work done since I am wideeeeee awake.
Late nite insomnia.. Haha.. I shud probably cut down on my coffee. Today I had two.
Reason I am typing on this tiny screen is I am just testing the push button publishing.. Haha.. What are the odds of this post not published when I push the button? We shall all see in a mo ^-^
Don't mind me.. This is just one of my late nite ramblings.. Goodnite peeps :)
My echo from the office sends me this beautiful email this morning. Its well written and should not be kept for my own self only.
I would like to pass it on to a few great mothers i know.
Anne, Esther, Jacqueline, Christine, Joeen, Adelene, Sam, Irene, Nessa, Emila and both my sisters too. (ops! i forgot about Aini.. and Aini too..)

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a littlevoice says, 'Because I love you best..'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade... It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned..

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom : )

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the care that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

NOTHING IS GREATER THAN A MOTHER'S LOVE!

Tuesday...the 2nd week of July. How time never stands still even if we want to.

I've just noticed that lately i have been lazy with postings and doing more picture posts of Dommy. Well.. Curly is happiest to see his picture up for almost every post of course. He is even grinning beside me as i am typing this.. yes yes.. you are more famous than Piper now.. *LOL*

These past month i have just been at home. Just a working and cooking and working and cleaning and working.. and thank god for sleeping.. hahahhahaa... (i love the sleeping part most). Haven't been out taking pictures too except the cat at the porch whose a very willing model almost every morning :) And then there's the cats at the back lanes... but i usually capture them from the window else my neighbours (who are usually watching from their windows) would be thinking that i have finally gone cuckoos.. hehehhehee

They see me in the garden with the camera with Dommy.. they see me early in the morning at 7.30 taking pics of cats on the porch.. sometimes they see me trying to take pics of clouds.. and then i was taking pictures of the bottle brush.. hehehhee.. I can sense that they are shaking their heads while saying... this girl got nothing better to do *LOL*

I really wanna go to the beach... sink my feet in the sand.. and just watch the waves. That gives me peace of mind. Not that my life is not peaceful.. hahahhaa.. It is it is peaceful. Dad don't nag me so much nowadays. He seems to understand that i need to work late sometimes. (hope he doesn't find out that i am spending time blogging as well) Then he'll really nag the living daylights outta me *LOL*

Dad is busy nowadays with his new handphone which we got him for Father's Day. This time sis got a bit smarter and buy a heavier phone so that it doesn't slip outta his pockets easily. He is busy playing sodoku on it every afternoon when he's not on the computer and at night before he sleeps. Now he doesn't play the games on the gameboy. He loves playing these games like Spider Solitaire and Tetris... Word Games... Crossword Puzzles.. he's very good at it. Now his new craze is Sodoku.

He takes tons of pictures on his mobile. He did mention why the pixels for the pictures were not great on the mobile... hehheheee.. We didn't buy him an expensive phone because he forgets easily. The first day he used it.. he came back from the shops and told me.. When he got out from the car.. his new phone fell on the ground.. He happen to look down on the road and said.. Hey! that looks like my phone.. hahahaha.. Both of us laughed about it when he told me about it. I told him never mind laa.. if you lose it again, we'll get you a heavier phone.. hopefully with better pixels.

When i was little, i was the sickly one. I was closest to my dad because he knows what to do when i had an asthma attack. He will keep telling me to breathe through the mouth. Then he will rub Vicks on my chest and back and behind my ears. I would only be able to sleep well when i have Vicks on me. It became like a ritual. Dad will come in and put Vicks on me.. then i will only sleep then. I feel safe knowing he is around.

Once when we went out, he took me aside and ask me to choose a harmonica. He knew that i was never interested in anything. I kinda have the Middle Child Syndrome.. *lol* He wanted me to learn something. I choose a big silver harmonica... and till today, for the life of me, i still don't know how to play the harmonica... *LOL* But i still have the harmonica that my dad bought me :) I wipe it and it shines. That's about the only thing i do with it. I didn't allow my sisters to play much on it because the saliva that gets blown inside the harmonica makes me go yucks! That was one thing that i didn't really share with my sisters. When you blow the harmonica, it makes a wheezing sound. It kinda sound like me wheezing when i was having an asthma attack when i was little. hehhehehehee

I was a whole lot of trouble for my parents when i was little. More so the reason they protected me more. I guess thats one of the reasons i am home now. To take care of my dad in his winter years. He tries not to annoy me. Even though sometimes he asks me many questions a day, he's just lonely without mom. People aged much faster when their other half is not around anymore. Their mind slips slowly. If they don't get themselves occupied and surrounded by more people... they just slip slowly and forgets more. It is very important to go home to see your old folks if you can. Make it frequent and take them out for a good time.

Sometimes my dad gets so lonely when i work. When i work, i forget the world. I hear him singing loudly in the next room. Sometimes Dommy goes to sit by his side. They go for walks in the evenings. He sits by my dad when he is eating.. hahahhahaa.. he's a greedy doggie.. hahhaaha.. Thank God for the buffer zone Dom :)

I'm not sure what i am writing about today. Its just a collection of thoughts that just sprinted by in my head. As confusing as i am, hope you'll enjoy this read of my confused thoughts.

Goodnight peeps! Have a great evening.
Dup! Dup! Dupppppp! hehehehee.. tomorrow is your big big day Bain. May you both be blessed with many many kids to entertain you. May you and Myra be happy happy always until cucu cicit. May each day be a new adventure for both of you. Congratulations and Selamat Pengantin Baruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :)

And to end this wishes... i send you this corny wedding poem. Even though its corny... it is very meaningful :) The usual wedding poem le.. hehehhehe

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, it is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.
Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends.
Love never fails.

  20. Don't sleep so late at night.

Yoon See and i were talking on google talk a while ago. Unconciously i nag her about the 'Don't shower so late at night' *lol* I guess i am getting old and nagging. Its because i nag my nephew sometimes. Not all the time, just the sometimes because i don't like to be nagged too.

But nagging is not all that bad. Nagging are reminders by your loved ones. People nag because they care about you. Only people who cares about you will nag you consistently till you scream out loud in your head. hahahahahhahahaha

As you can see... i do have 20 Parents Song (Yoon See came out with the title for me). Even though one of it is repeated a few times.. hehhehee.. because that is the one my dad nags me most every single day.

And now.. my first tag. If you want to do this meme, please share with us your Parent's Song.

I am tagging Yoon See, Emila, Nessa, Rozella, Spiffy, Bem, Ken, Jia.

Share your Parent's Song with us. :)

And Spiffy.. don't even try to zap me with that raygun of yours.. this is a simple tag la... ops! I still owe you one tag.

Lately i have been a lil busy with work. Work do pay me on time every single month and they gave me the freedom and lets me keep a dog or two with me while i work. Wonderful perks :)

I have some websites flowing out of both ears and since i am still learning as i go along with this wordpress thingy... it has given me grey. I think Blogger is so much simpler. I've always liked to keep things simple.

My hair used to be jet black and thick... now i have strands of grey poking out especially behind my ears... hahhahahaha.. it amuses on most days when i look at the mirror. What the heck.. I'll try and grow old gracefully.

Some people say that when you do a lot of thinking, white strands of hair will appear overnight. I guess i haven't been doing much thinking all my life till now. *LOL*

My head is big... and hollow. Sometimes i hear a "piiiiiiiinnnngg" sound inside... cos its running on empty on most days. If you give it a little knock.. it will echo back :)

Since my job description took a turnaround last year, i think i have been having more greys. I've acquired hip bone aches on some days... and my back feels like breaking on other days. Its like the start of the growing old gracefully thingy i guess.

But i've noticed that my buddies Spiffy and Emila were having backaches too. So it has to be normal. Probably we are all not sitting properly. And have proper chairs and better working environments. Or probably we are spending wayyyyy too long hours in front of the screen. hahahaha

My dad reminded me today that work is not everything. (i know that) But he doesn't know i blog too.. hehehhee.. and i post his songs for my sisters too. hehehhehehe.. If he knows, i am in deep shit. *opps* He'll nag me till kingdom come because.. work is already on the computer.. then this stupid twerp called me is blogging too. More time spent on the computer.

But blogging keeps me sane. I made some very good friends that keeps me laughing to myself late at night. I don't go out much here and i don't have many real friends here. But i have loads of relatives that brings food all the time though. And an aunt that bakes like Nigella.

The pros and cons of life. But i am still thankful i have a great boss and an understanding one too. Now back to the wordpress thingy ^_^

If i don't have work and i don't blog... i wonder what i would be doing right now :D Probably rolling on the floor with Dommy.. :D

Hello friends. Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Have a few stories to tell you but kind of very busy at work. Here's one story than my 'office echo friend' shared with me. Thought that you guys might like it :)

A man is driving down the road and breaks down near a monastery. He goes to the monastery, knocks on the door, and says, My car broke down. Do you think I could stay the night?

The monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, and even fix his car. As the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound; a sound like no other that he has ever heard. The next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, We can't tell you because you're not a monk.

The man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. Some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the same monastery.

The monks again accept him, feed him, and even fix his car..

That night, he hears the same strange mesmerizing sound that he had heard years earlier.

The next morning, he asks what the sound was, but the monks reply,
We can't tell you because you're not a monk.

The man says, all right, all right. I'm dying to know.

If the only way I can find out what that sound was is to become a monk, how do I become a monk?

The monks reply, you must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles. When you find these numbers, you will become a monk.

The man sets about his task. Some forty-five years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery. He says, I have travelled the earth and devoted my life to the task demanded and have found what you had asked for. There are 371,145,236,284,232 blades of grass and 231,281,219,999,129,382 sand pebbles on the earth.

The monks reply, congratulations! you are correct, and you are now considered a monk .
We shall now show you the way to the sound.

The monks lead the man to a wooden door, where the head monk says, the sound is behind that door.

The man reache! s for the knob, but the door is locked. He asks, May I have the key?

The monks give him the key, and he opens the door.

Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone... The man requests the key to the stone door.

The monks give him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. He demands another key from the monks, who provide it. Behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire. And so it went on until the man had gone through doors of emerald,...

...silver, topaz, and amethyst.

Finally, the monks say, This is the key to the last door .

The man is relieved to be at the end. He unlocks the door, turns the knob, and behind that door he is astonished to find the source of that strange sound. It is truly an amazing and unbelievable sight

... But I can't tell you what it is because you're not a monk.

DON'T SWEAR AT ME;

I'M STILL HUNTING FOR THE IDIOT WHO STARTED THIS !

thank you to Anne for helping me with the post today.
