Kinda stumbled upon this. It reminded me of Dom. We don't have a piano in this house but this is probably what he would do if we had one.

Dommy is kinda attached to me at the hip. As he gets older and his eyes are getting not too great, he is more insecure. When he sleeps he's like an ole engine sputtering away. He gets worried when i go out. He gives me this very sad eyes. He'll start howling when my car is gone. Dad gets worried too when i go out. He's afraid to be alone. But he doesn't howl :o

We didn't know Dom howls his sadness till we were on holiday at my sister's house. When i went out... he started to howl. My sister was in another part of the house and was wondering what was howling and she found Dom. The only time he ever howled was when my mom passed away. He let out a very long sad howl. It sounded kinda spooky.

I know Dom loves me a lot. More than i love him. When i am feeling sad, i just hold on to him and bury my face in his fur. He seems to understand. Sometimes he licks my tears away.

Dogs have a deeper understanding of things and matters that are closest to the heart. Humans will never quite get near that.

I wish to thank all of you and your kind words. Things will fall into place. There's a beginning and there's an ending. I will be ready when it ends.

Hopefully i'll catch up with all of you one day soon.

The shelter where i spend my weekends are having a Christmas Bazaar. If you are in my town... and am around on the 1 & 2 of December.. do drop by and support us. Its held at a cafe where girls are allowed to burp and its okay for men to giggle.

I would like to apologize profusely for not being around lately. Its just that... i've been unfaithful. Just unfaithful to you... and you and you too but to Dommy the most.

This unfaithfulness is for some greater good.. (i think). I am just testing something and hopefully it will make a bit of a dent or a lil dent and help create some social change. A dent is still better than nothing. When i can gather myself up for a proper post... i will.

But today i saw this really funny video... i really had to share with you guys.. cos it made me laugh so much :D

btw.. i think i kinda lost some doggie blog links on my very long list. Somehow some just disappeared. I didn't delete anyone intentionally and hopefully will find and add you guys back. Even i do not know the ins and outs of my own blog anymore. *LOL*

The thing that came out from not blogging is... my ratings are looking pretty good :) Not that i am bothered too much by it. Anyways... hope you guys get entertained by this funny guy.

Till we meet again. Dommy sends his love and licks.

**Georgia... this fellow in the video reminds me of you! Yes you.. the donut eater!
Its my turn to do a blog post. It has come to this stage where we each take turns to do a post and bug the other to hurry up and pump up a new post. Oh yes... i have been lazy. Really i have been really lazy. There's no good excuse anymore :)

Recently i have acquired the taste for more tv time. I numb my brains with so much tv that its beginning to be worrisome. Dommy looks at me all worried each night but he still sits with me. I switched off my computers about 7pm... have my dinner... wait for dad to watch the news for 30mins from 8pm... and lo and behold, the tv's all MINE. MINE MINE MINE. Muahhahhahaa.. i watch this and that and this and that... i channel flip like a couch potato without the chips and numb them skull till 11pm.. sometimes 12. I AM DOOMED.

Hi... my name is Anny. I am a TV addict.

Let me share this with you first while i go scoot off to catch some more tv time. lalallalalalallaa

This video cracked me up silly and i watched it many times. The music of the video made me laugh too. Its just so calmingly right for the video. I know Dommy would love to have some of the kitteh kats in the garden give him a massage. But most of the time, they just bob him on the head.

Dommy and i love watching kitteh kats in the garden. The last time we did some cat watching, we got into a whole lot of trouble with dad. These are alley cats and they love to come to our garden to climb on the trees... dig some of them pots of soil... and just relax in the shade. They love to sleep in the pots too.

We leave them some kitty food and water. They have a meal and they go on their way. The smaller fellas usually stick around as they feel safe here in the garden. They have big trees as scratching posts and they have shade in the porch if it rains. Cats really like their life outdoors. They don't like to be contained. They like to bask in the sun and they like to leave paw prints on your car. Sometimes they try to sneak into the house to check it out.

I kinda like seeing them around. They are a calming presence. They watch and sit with me when i do the gardening. When i rake the leaves, they have races and jump on the leaves. They are totally independent and comes and go. Cats are full of character. They can earn a living without even trying. You just fall for their eyes and their soft mews and you'll be getting them their dinner on time.

I was at the SPCA the other day. The SPCA in my town is a no-kill facility. On my way in, i saw a box of puppies by the lane. All the cute little puppies were just a few weeks old and overflowing out from the box. They were left outside near the small sign to the SPCA. There were a lot of lorries zooming just beside the small road going in. Its still a long way in. If you are going to surrender puppies to the SPCA, why do you not take them all the way in. You can't really expect a bunch of puppies to find their way into the SPCA. People do not want to pay the surrender fees. But the folks at the SPCA do come out and check for abandoned dogs and pups each day. They are very nice people.

When i gathered the puppies back into the box, it kinda felt like Christmas to me. Its magical and one of the puppies even licked my fingers. It felt nice. Being so small, hopefully they will be adopted very soon. There are so many many dogs at the SPCA. Why are people still buying dogs when there's so many you can adopt and rescue. Our culture is such, we want something new.. something pretty... something cute. What if you don't find them so cute after a few months?

Don't buy... Go ADOPT... and NEUTER your pets.

You can't save them all, but you can save some. Its does makes a difference.

Today is Good Friday. Our office in Singapore is closed as its a public holiday there. I hear peace and a quiet day ahead :)

Last year our friend Mr Pip shared a message with all of us. We want to bring it back again this year. Baby rabbits are not Easter gifts.

Here are some Tips for a Pet-Safe Easter from ASPCA

Do say a prayer for Judi. She's still needing all the prayers and thoughts. If you wanna send her a card, please email to Kristin at mrpippip(at)gmail(dot)com for the address. You can read about Judi's updated condition at Taylor Cats.

I haven't been taking much pictures lately of Curly and Piper. But this is one of the most recent one of them together... well.. almost together.

Over to you now Missy Typist :) Your turn :p
Today is our furfriend Yuki's First Barkday. Both of us are at her place waiting for cake from her mom. Her mom is a super dooper baker. If you do not know who's Yuki... drop by and check her out. She is one pretty lady.

Have a great barkday Yuki. Hope your momma made you a super dooper cake.

We went for a lot of walkies lately. A lot. SHE needs to do them flushy to her brains. SHE could use the flushy room but hey... walkies are better. Solvitur ambulando.

Wish i had a pet cam like Norwood to record all my walks for you all.. but maybe soon.. SHE said that i might have enough in my doggy bank to buy myself a pet cam. I'll just have to go easy with the treats and NO MORE greenies. Just rice and water and the occasional carrot or two to save myself enough dough for a pet cam. I could lose a few pounds i guess.

All i wanna for Christmas is a pet cam. Ummm.. when is Christmas?

Maybe if i have a pet cam, i'll get 3 walkies a day. You think? Naw.. SHE is quite the lazy bum. If i could get a walkie or two a day, i should count my doggy stars.

I could get grandpa to buy for me. Grandpa loves me most since he shares all his breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper with me. Sometimes he slips a cracker or two under the table when no one is looking. Ain't grandpa the best. I bet he'll buy me a pet cam.

Or... i could bid for it when SHE is sleeping. You all know where to go to bid for a pet cam right? Its going for quite a steal. Go head over there and do some good and bid for some or all of them stuffs there ya.
Here's the link... Crossed Paws.

You can even buy a recipe or two and do double good too... and the recipes are going cheap cheap. Only a dollar. Do you have a dollar to spare? Come on.. i know you do.
Head over to Tasty Nommies and get your grandpa to buy you all the recipes and get your hoomans to make you some real great cookies. The best nommies and cookies are home made.

I wonder if i could get HER to bake me some tomorrow. If she does bake me some... it will probably snow in Malaysia tomorrow. *BOL* Here's hoping for snow.. still. Its getting way too warm and sweaty these days.

Its a wee bit late here *yawwwwwwwwwwwnnnnNN* Tomorrow i got to get up real early. Tuesdays. How i hate Tuesdays. My beauty sleep is disrupted. BAH!
Tails a wagging.. du du du... tails a wagging.. du du du... that is a happy tail from the top dog :) He's still top dog around here (i think). Status haven't changed yet. And so.. the tails are a wagging happily from the little one.

We haven't been up to much around here. Just lazing around and tails a wagging. du du duuu
Christmas is just round the next corner... and our tree is not up yet. Tails a wagging.. du du du

We don't get real christmas trees around here. The only real christmas trees are brought in by IKEA each year. Year in and year out, we'll drag out the old plastic tree.. put up the same ole decorations.. and maybe a few more new stuffs :) Are we a wee bit late for the christmas tree? I am probably too old and lazy for christmas this year... perhaps.

The only thing that is quite christmas around here is dad singing to his christmas carols.

My niece was around last week... and i torture her to do all the household chores.. *LOL* She even washed the pot for me one day. I bet she'll treasure her home more after this. But we did have a good time together.

She is a wonderful girl. She loves to bake and cook. And she wanted to make icing for cupcakes but i was too lazy. So she settled for colourful dots for her topping.

We made some cupcakes but stuffed all 16 of them in one tray... and all of them cakes overflowed and fight for space.
It was funny to see them overflowing like that. *LOL*

We went to see Narnia in the cinemas. It was in 3D. Like the old fool that i am.. this is the first time i saw a movie in 3D (where have i been all this time right?) *LOL* It was a nice movie with the kids.

Try taking pictures with a crummie phone in a cinema and you get darkness all around ;)
i have been taking pictures only with my crummie phone lately.. *LOL*

Piper had a bit of a tummy ache from lying on the cool floors everyday. A bit of wind got into his tummy and he was a poot pooting away.
Here he is feeling sick last week.

We would be going off on the road to Piper's home next week to celebrate christmas in Kuala Lumpur with my family till the new year.. (i think).

Hah! I hear fireworks outside? Hmmm... i wonder what was that for?

This year has gone by extremely fast... with a lot of changes. As change is always good, we are now slowing down now to catch up on our breath and prepare for the new year.

I never do resolutions to welcome the new year. Maybe when i was a kid, i probably did.. and forgot all about them by January. We should just be happy and live each day as it is our last. Keep good friends and family close and furry buddies closer. Do good and be nice to the little people... and it will be a wonderful year ahead. Own lesser things and live a simpler life.

Loads of money don't usually guarantee happiness. Having people around you and feeling that you belong and loved is a gurantee that you will have a fulfilling life.

ROOOARRRRR... i am the top dog!

I am still hearing fireworks now. Hmmm... someone smuggled in quite a bit of fireworks. Is it the new year already?
The Spookie Monster of Piper's Kingdom...

be afraid.. be very afraid...

If you are easily spooked, DO NOT watch the video. We repeat. DO NOT watch the video

AwooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo

Gotcha there! wahahahaha

Dommy

We had one of those lazy days again today. Today is also my momma and daddy's wedding anniversary. I am not with them to celebrate it since i am in another town for a holiday with Dom and Anny. But i guess they could use some alone time away from me too sometimes. Hope they are having a good celebration with cake and romance and thinking of me plus missing me loads.

Both Dom and i got a big greenie to celebrate the day. There should be celebrations everyday... so i can get greenies everyday. *BOL* We only get greenies on special days. Like birthdays and whimsy days. Our greenies should be savoured slowly. I've included a video on how to eat and savour a greenie properly.

Don't eat it like Dom and gulp everything up fast without chewing properly. Gulping greenies are not good. Big chunks of treats can get stuck in the esophagus or the intestines.

The reason we don't get much greenies these days is because of that Dom. He gobbles up the treats like he's the hungriest animal on the whole entire planet. Its all his fault.

Sometimes, we do have green days. Today is one of our greenie days :)

Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

love,
Piper
A good start and training them from young. The above is Jai's cot with a pack of cards all strewn over his bed. We are teaching him gin rummy and blackjack. *LOL* In my family, even the smallest kid knows how to gamble during Chinese New Year.

Urmm.. we didn't teach him how to gamble. hehehhee.. But he sure love to crush all the cards and throws them out of his cot while grumbling and babbling away.

We are still very tired (its the age thing) but with a very happy and fast toddler in the house, Jai is draining all of us out. Today we finally moved his cot into his room. It is much safer than him crawling and trying to walk all over the house. He even tried to poke Dom's face. The dogs are actually petrified of this lil one. *LOL*

He tried to give Dom a hug the first few days he arrived. That kinda spooked Dom and in a reflex action, Dom bumped his face on Jai and that sent one dog running and a kid crying. Dogs can be very gentle with kids but we really do not want to test their patience. Especially on these very warm and hot hot extra hot days, don't even try to test their patience.

There's only so few days left before the London worm goes back to his home. Blogging even takes a backseat nowadays. Half the time i rather stare at his face and babble back to him in his yada yada language. He's a good kid. Not fussy and always happy. As long as he gets his meals on time and sleep when he's tired.. he's an angel from above.

His favourite show is In The Night Garden from BBC. I never seen this show before. I still can't find it in the stores yet. But we did download a few from youtube to entertain him. When he sees the characters come out, his smile can light up a whole room.

I googled about it yesterday to understand the show better. Its kinda like Teletubbies. The characters makes a lot of baby sounds. There's Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, the three Tombliboos (you should check these three out.. their dance just cracks me up) and a whole lot more.

Its a pretty good show and its amazing how the kids learn from this show. I noticed Jai does some of the things the characters does. Its is amusing to see him arranging his blanket up and down before he sleeps. I saw Makka Pakka doing it in one of the videos.

The last time we had a kid running this home was 13 years ago... and we only were watching Teletubbies, Sesame Street and Power Rangers. Kids in Malaysia loves Barney. But i think In the Night Garden is quite a good show for toddlers and small kids. The music calms them and the smile on their face is priceless.

I found In The Night Garden on youtube yesterday. Watch it below if you want to see what its all about. Its Jai's favourite.

I've only been humming his songs lately.. hahahhahaa.. Jai is taking over my life.

Dom having his afternoon rollabout.. *LOL* He sometimes forgets he is a curly... the dry grass always gets tangled and hidden in his curly mass of fur.

Dommy loves the sun. He loves the garden and the sun. And he loves to roll on the grass in the hot sun most. Usually after all the roll around, we both have to sit on the porch and remove the dry grass. Today he manage to run faster and sneak into the house before i can catch him to remove the grass. He's now with a very happy cheeky smile plastered on his face and a whole lotta dry grass on his body. He is still grinning from his hiding place under the bed... hahhahahaa

You can imagine the amount and bits of leaves and grass and sand he brings in from the garden. I should probably get him some shoes *LOL* And tell him to wear the shoes if he's going to go walk in the sandy part of the garden. But hey! He's only a doggie... they love to be free.

I think he has gained quite a bit of weight lately.. do u think so? Too much snacking with grandpa i guess. Or maybe he's due for his grooming session. It would be nice to see his eyes again :D

*Nyam nyam nyam*.. nice camel leg. Ops!

I am hungry allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the time. I am a hungry doggie. When i am not fed... i find alternatives. Camilla's leg was quite nice.. but it kinda leaves a funny taste in my mouth after that.

*wooooooooof!*

Dommy

Note: No dog or Camilla was not hurt in this video shoot.

Stormy found this one biggggggggggggg cat on metacafe. It looks like its stuffed. It looks almost unreal. Don't you think so? Is it real? Or stuffed toy? The eyes are unblinking.. it sure looks unreal to me.

Is this cat overly loved and over fed? Gosh! Poor Meow.

Dommy's been getting a bit on the heavy side too. Everyone commented on it... hehehehehe I better start watching his food :) Sure don't want Dommy to end up like this meow.
A followup to my last post on the Love Byte... i remember i got this on email a long time ago.

Most of the time, i work very long hours on the computer but my buddy will be patiently waiting beside me. Even when i go for a bath, he is sometimes outside the door waiting. I watch the tv, he is beside me too. When i am eating, he sits beside me... (but that is because he wants a part of my food) hehhehehee

I guess he is very protective of me. Or he is afraid i'll run off somewhere again without him. Sometimes he sighs a LOUD sigh to tell me he's there.. *LOL*

I probably should take a rest from the computer now and play with him :) He is bored... and each time i turn my head.. he looks at me with a "come play with me look" hehhehehe.. Poor Dommy.

Roll over now. Time for tummy rubs Dom :)

Today my ole neighbour friend came by for a visit. He walked quite far to come back to his ole neighbourhood to visit us. Sometimes he drops by when he manage to free himself and run wild and free back home. I think he still prefers our neighbourhood.

His new house is few rows of houses away and he has to cross a big wide road. He is a brave lil doggie. He was knocked down by a car before. His hind leg still bear the scars.

I don't know why he's thin like skeleton. His owners treat him very well and always buys good food for him. Maybe he doesn't have any friends in his new neighbourhood.

I had a fun time running around with my ole neighbour. I forgot his name. But we were having a swell time running up and down and sharing some cookies and water too.

Anny says that we were like practising silat. But we were just trying to out-pee and out run each other while marking all the important spots.

Joejer came to visit me too this morning. Uncle Joe says that Joejer is getting old. He is 12x7=84 years old. Uncle says Joejer has cataract. I wonder if i have it too because Boy and Anny is always saying i have when i bark at strangers that come to the house.

Today i am very happy. I have two visitors that came by to play with me. I am totally poofed. But big smiles big smiles today. Think i need my 40x2 winks now.

love,
Dommy

Silat is the art of self defence. Its a combative art of fighting and survival and it has been developed in Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam civilizations for centuries into social culture and tradition. (read more here on Wikipedia).

Chicken ala Carte ~ Ferdinand Dimadura

Are we conciously aware of poverty among us? Do we order more food than we can eat? Do we buy more than we need? Do we just throw what we cannot finish.

My country is developed but poverty still lurks in some corners. The rich gets richer, the poor gets weaker.

I am a very lucky girl. I live a very sheltered life. All my life, i have had enough to eat. We have wasted and we have thrown away food.

Poverty is real. Many die of poverty everyday.
About 25,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations. This is one person every three and a half seconds, as you can see on this display. Unfortunately, it is children who die most often. (source: http://www.poverty.com/)

I hear the laughter in the video but my heart cries.

Today is a lazy day for me... i was just flipping channels till i got to Oprah. She was doing the show on Investigating Puppy Mills. Couldn't flip the channels after that.. cos i was crying with her. Check out the link above and you can read about that show. We should probably have more Oprah's in the world.

Our constant need to have everything NEW. Even a puppy. Everyone loves a brand new puppy. Cute.. and new. Even after my 2 days with Brandy... i was thinking of getting a brand new goldie. I am guilty of that. But what stopped me so far was the thoughts i carry in this blog. When there are so many dogs and cats that need saving from pet shelters, why do we still have the need of having something brand new? We can go check out the shelters... and save another life. Another dog/cat saved might not save the world but a difference is made.

When i was at the pet shops buying food for Dommy... i saw two brand new goldies. The girl was trying quite hard to sell me one. I must have the look on my face that said.. I want that goldie. I could have just paid and brought one home there and then. Both goldies were beautiful. I was having this goldie hangover since Chinese New Year. Brandy's not ours. She just comes to stay sometimes when the owners are away.

Piper was brand new when we got him. Sis got him from a breeder. A responsible breeder i hope because only a responsible breeder will ask you a lot of questions and spend time explaining about the breed he has to offer. And he makes sure the dog is going to a good home.

Dommy was 5 when he came to us. He was not brand new but neutered. The owners wanted to give them away because they were not able to take good care of them anymore. At least the owners were responsible enough to make sure their dogs go to another family. Dommy looked old when he came to us... i always assume he's old because he's not new. But i love him all the same. He's only going to be 7 this June.

I promise not to get a brand new goldie. If i should have a goldie.. or any doggie.. it would be from the shelter.

Everyone can make a difference. Even if the difference is tiny... it would still be a difference. If you are thinking of getting a brand new puppy... cute... new.. untouched... untrained.. why not have a heart and give the dogs or cats at the shelter a chance. We definitely cannot save all the dogs/cats in the shelters... but we could try and make a difference. If we stop buying from puppy mills... maybe they will stop producing. Production will cease when there's no demand.

Do you know how many dogs and cats are euthanized in a day? All over the world. Overcrowding at the shelters. They really do not have no choice. Some good souls... are trying their best to save as many as they can. We can all help by adopting... and not buying.

I end this post with a video on The Truth about Euthanasia at shelters which i found on Youtube. Hope it touches you enough to make a small difference. Any kind of difference would be a difference in this world.

Please neuter your pets.
Yasmin as in Yasmin Ahmad.

Every festive season, she tugs at our hearts with her Petronas advertisements. Sometimes funny adverts but always with a strong message that drives a nail into our hearts. *ouch*. Most of the time, the adverts leaves me in tears.

I love to wait for her festive adverts to come on each season. We always have something new to learn from the adverts. Its not something we do not know but its just gentle reminders for us.

This Chinese New Year advert which i saw this morning left me blinking my eyes couple of times. Everything become blurry after that. My keyboard was soaked. (its still functioning now.. *phew*).

Why do you poke my heart all the time? Why why why...

My mom left us in 2007. I came back to a totally new environment and lived with dad and my nephew and a Dom. Its a totally new environment for me because i have been away from home chasing my dreams for more than 10 years in another state. My lifestyle is different from my dad's and we have different ways of doing things. But we do try and accomodate each other and he does let me have my space.

When i came home.. he never understood why i have to work all the time and why my computer is seeing more of my face that he does. He will nag when i am on the computer late at night. He worries for my health and he worries for my eyes. He says.. how can someone spend so long on a computer.

The Gap. Yes. We are three generations of people living in a house... plus a neutral Dom. How do we get along? All three of us are different but i do love my dad's selection of music.

Sometimes i hear Yasmin at the back of my head reminding me. I watch too many of her adverts to know that i must be patient with old folks. I learn to keep my mouth shut and hold my tongue when i am angry. I think we are doing fine so far. hahahaha.. With our differences, somehow we manage to find a balance. And of course the neutral Dom makes things more better.

I love Yasmin and all her wonderful work. Keep on giving us your best. You are indeed one of the best storytellers around.

Here's the Chinese New Year 2009 Petronas Advert.

One more day. We can never get back our one more day with our loved ones if we do not treasure our loved ones now. I can't have my one more day with my mom. She's gone. Too late for the what ifs. But God is kind. I still have my papa. And that is one of the reasons why we have parents.
