A follow up from yesterday's post on Stroke. Someone commented that I should post about the word Act F.A.S.T. too.

Thanks for helping spread the word on stroke, the #3 killer in the U.S.
F.A.S.T. is also a good acronym to help remember stroke signs and symptoms:
Face - Arms - Speech - Time...to call 9-1-1.

Found this video on Youtube. It is NHS advert educating about what to do when someone has a stroke. Hope it would be useful.

Coming where?
Who is Jason Mraz?
What's all the hulabaloo about?
Ahhhhhh.. listen to this first.

Lucky ~ Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat

Do you like the song? Most of you would have caught this number before. Its such a catchy tune. I have been hearing it over and over again and unconciously humming it without knowing who sang it. This is a common thing with me. I hear something.. keep singing it and people asking me.. What song is that..? I would go.. errrrrrrrrrr... errr.. i don't know. hahahahhahahaaa

Then i will seek my Grand Musicmaster Nickolai and hum it to him. He can tell me the name of the song in a jiffy. He seems to know every song. He listens to a song once... and will be singing it next. More about my Grand Musicmaster the next time ;)

Here it is... TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa :D

Jason Mraz in Kuala Lumpur. 4th March 2009, Stadium Merdeka.

If you are in Kuala Lumpur... go grab a ticket if you like this kinda music. It would be so fun, lively.. and happening show. I love acoustics. I love Jason Mraz moozik. But... Wednesday.. oh my! What a bummer.

A passionate musician. Definitely a show not to be missed. Oh bummer!

I want to hear him sing LIVE! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. Wednesday??? What a bummer... :(

TGIF :) Fridays are great for funnies :)

Do you know... Piper is especially afraid of farts. He is annoyed when someone farts. Everytime he hears a fart, he has the startled look. :D It tickles us so much that sometimes we make fart sounds to annoy him. He just walks away. Each and every fart sound we make still startle him. hhahahahaa.. The things we do to poor PP.

I miss the little fella. Maybe we'll go down soon to visit him :)

Enjoy this Friday fartie up above!
We get countless emails a day... spams and countless spams but once in a while, we do get good information especially from friends.

I got this email about Stroke today. Information that everyone should know and it could probably save a life.

Blood clots/Stroke (Now they have a fourth indicator, the Tongue)

STROKE: Remember the 1st Three Letters... S.T.R.

My nurse friend sent this and encouraged me to post it and spread the word.I agree.
If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.Seriously..
Please read:

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new
shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away..) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke....totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
Does one side of the face droop?

T *Ask the person to TALK and REPEAT A SIMPLE SENTENCE
Are the words slurred?
Can he/she repeat the sentence correctly?

R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
Does one arm drift downward?

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

ACT FAST!

When i listen to this music, i imagined a ballroom and a whole lot of people dancing. Strictly ballroom dancing. Close your eyes... and listen to this music. Do you feel the same? :D But after that.. open your eyes again and enjoy the great video by 65 Reasons on YouTube. The wordings are beeyooooooootiful :)

I on the other hand can't dance for nuts. I have 2 left feet... some people say. Used to dance a lot... but its more of the noisy songs in the discos when i was errr.. ummm.. younger and didn't care about anything other than dancing.. hahahaa.. it was a fun age to be with my friends. Those kind of dancing do not need any rules... and it was just a lot of flinging your limbs here and there... and with the lights blinka blinka.. you still look super dupa cool! Remember to always wear white to discos.. hehehee.. you stand out! hahhahahaha

Ah... i love dancing. Wish i could do ballroom dancing. The music above would have been great. I love ballet most. Gracefullness.... like the swans.

This is another version of the same song... but this by Pat Boone. This is grandpa's favourite. Papa told me this today over lunch. All this old songs really do make him very happy. He was just saying yesterday... I am so glad there's Youtube in this world.

I do hope Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim knows how much i appreciate them for making my papa's days very beautiful. Because of Youtube... he is happy again.

Boomdeyada ~ I Love the Whole World is an advertising campaign by Discovery Channel in 2008 for their new tagline "The World is Just... Awesome.

I only heard this song last week becos my colleagues in "another planet" was singing it.. hehehe And they must be wondering where i have been cos it took me so long. I have not been watching Discovery Channel lately.. actually.. have not been watching tv lately. But.. am catching up on the tv :D

This is a real swell song! I like it. The lyrics are below if you wanna sing it. Even Dommy is singing and howling with me just now.. hehehehhee.. he loves it too.

Discovery Channel Boomdeyada lyrics

"It never gets old, huh?"
"nope"
"It kinda makes you wanna... break into song?"
"Yupp"

I love the mountains
I love the clear blue sky
I love big bridges
I love when great whites fly
I love the whole world
And all it's sights and sounds
Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada

I love the ocean
I love real dirty things
I love to go fast
I love Egyptian kings
I love the whole world
And all it's craziness
Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada

I love tornadoes
I love arachnids
I love hot magma
I love the giant squids
I love the whole world
It's such a brilliant place

Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada
Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada
Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada, Boomdeyada

I love the whole world... because its OURS :)

Got this in the email today.. :D this is kinda funny..

I guess the person finally crack after trying to solve the sum and....

Don't Forget to Remember Me - Bee Gees

Bee Gees... one of the many groups we listen to as kids. My sisters and cousins were big fans of Bee Gees. I kinda like Andy Gibb more.

I remember once... we even had a recording (with a small player).. at my cousin's house.. each of us will sing a song.. and we just put a blank tape in and recorded the songs. But without any background music.. most of them sounded weird... hahahhahahaa.. I remember i didn't want to sing when it was my turn. I have always been very stubborn and have a mind of my own. Only when i sat on my father's lap did i agree to sing. And all i can manage was the Kookaburra song... hahhahahahaa.. no wonder i didn't want to sing. Even remembered my eldest sis scowling at me for being pampered... hahaha

This is one of my papa's favourite also. I heard him listen to this about 5 times today... *shush* Don't tell him i am eavesdropping on him.. hehe.. I am not really eavesdropping... considering he is just in the next room and the speakers are quite loud. He does enjoy his singing sessions in the afternoons. I leave him to his music when he wants to sing. And he got a whole lot more songs which i have not posted.

Cindy would love them all. I am sure. Slowly slowly... i will share my papa's songs with you Cindy.

P/s: Seeing the BeeGees in period clothes is kinda of weird... don't you think? And rowing a boat too... hmmm... It must be for a movie or something.. :)

Whispering Pines - Johnny Horton
Today is a lazy day for me... i was just flipping channels till i got to Oprah. She was doing the show on Investigating Puppy Mills. Couldn't flip the channels after that.. cos i was crying with her. Check out the link above and you can read about that show. We should probably have more Oprah's in the world.

Our constant need to have everything NEW. Even a puppy. Everyone loves a brand new puppy. Cute.. and new. Even after my 2 days with Brandy... i was thinking of getting a brand new goldie. I am guilty of that. But what stopped me so far was the thoughts i carry in this blog. When there are so many dogs and cats that need saving from pet shelters, why do we still have the need of having something brand new? We can go check out the shelters... and save another life. Another dog/cat saved might not save the world but a difference is made.

When i was at the pet shops buying food for Dommy... i saw two brand new goldies. The girl was trying quite hard to sell me one. I must have the look on my face that said.. I want that goldie. I could have just paid and brought one home there and then. Both goldies were beautiful. I was having this goldie hangover since Chinese New Year. Brandy's not ours. She just comes to stay sometimes when the owners are away.

Piper was brand new when we got him. Sis got him from a breeder. A responsible breeder i hope because only a responsible breeder will ask you a lot of questions and spend time explaining about the breed he has to offer. And he makes sure the dog is going to a good home.

Dommy was 5 when he came to us. He was not brand new but neutered. The owners wanted to give them away because they were not able to take good care of them anymore. At least the owners were responsible enough to make sure their dogs go to another family. Dommy looked old when he came to us... i always assume he's old because he's not new. But i love him all the same. He's only going to be 7 this June.

I promise not to get a brand new goldie. If i should have a goldie.. or any doggie.. it would be from the shelter.

Everyone can make a difference. Even if the difference is tiny... it would still be a difference. If you are thinking of getting a brand new puppy... cute... new.. untouched... untrained.. why not have a heart and give the dogs or cats at the shelter a chance. We definitely cannot save all the dogs/cats in the shelters... but we could try and make a difference. If we stop buying from puppy mills... maybe they will stop producing. Production will cease when there's no demand.

Do you know how many dogs and cats are euthanized in a day? All over the world. Overcrowding at the shelters. They really do not have no choice. Some good souls... are trying their best to save as many as they can. We can all help by adopting... and not buying.

I end this post with a video on The Truth about Euthanasia at shelters which i found on Youtube. Hope it touches you enough to make a small difference. Any kind of difference would be a difference in this world.

Please neuter your pets.

YeHaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... i am on a roll tonite. Too bored with my daily work... and nagging from "the upperheads" so i decide to drop that and sneak over here.. hehe.. i'll get back to that tomorrow.

And so... guess what happened to Brandy. I'll let her tell you herself.

Its not my fault... its really not my fault... i was just checking out the pond... and the rocks formation... and the steps... and and the hibiscus was delicious the last time i ate it.

Then i decided to test out the rocks and see if they are sturdy... and and this water taste so much nicer to drink... i drank it when PP's mummy was not looking.

And and then i slipped. I I I fell into the pond... but i am a goldie.. and i love water... and i am smart... and and and i forgot that i am still small... its quite hard to climb up again...
I hang on to the rocks for dear life and yelped out real loud to PP's mummy to come and save me. PP was even helping me by barking out to his mummy really loud to come downstairs to save me. PP is such a darling.

PP's mummy came down and promptly save me from my swim. I I I was really just checking out the rocks. Really. I got the evidence.. My head, neck and ears were all dry. Just half of my body is wet.. and its really quite hard to climb out from the pond again. (but i can jump out real fast in a few months time when i become a big goldie.. you just see).

In a few months time, when PP's mummy and daddy goes to work... i will just have my swim in the pond... and just check out more rocks... and hibiscus. But i will listen to PP's mummy now.. and not go near to the pond. Just in case i decide to check out some rocks and fall in. I'll do it again when i am a bigger doggie.

Golden Retrievers do love water... a lot. Their coats are dense and water repellent. But just because golden retrievers love water does not mean they cannot drown. Especially puppies and curiosity. Watch them around a swimming pool. The are not like humans... and know how to come up the steps of the swimming pool. Crate them... or put up a fence.

As you can see.. the Yellow furball above is still laughing over the whole fell into the water fiasco. They have the face of an angel... and when you want to scold them, they just give you a silly smile and all is forgotten.

Goodnight folks :)

Lullaby for a Stormy Night ~ Vienna Teng

Song for the littlest of man in my life now. Our still new pink little man. He is officially 7 weeks + 2 days today. And man.. i sure miss him :(

His eyes... are like Bambi's... big, round and beautiful. Can't wait till i see him again.

...like a baby grand piano :)

Woke up this morning because something was vibrating on my arm *LOL* No dirty thots there... hahhahahahaa Its just my phone on my arm (how did it get there).. I hear a *toot toot* next... and open one eye to check my incoming email.

Nice surprise for the morning. Someone called Patty of Grey & Things sent me a Life is Grand Award :) Thank you Patty. I am indeed honoured.

Ahhhhhhh... life is sweet... when people you have never even met or chat before acknowledge your presence on the web... it is a world wide web.

I do go through many many blogs and webs a day... for research and for reading. Some blogs i visit almost on a daily basis... because it is an interesting read... and you tend to unconciously know so much about the person compared to your next door neighbour. Is this globalisation or are we spending too much time confined into our online existence?

I do drops on entrecards sometimes... and thats where i find some common interest groups and many interesting websites. Grey and Things is one of my favourite drops and a whole other blogs.

Anyways... this award comes with just two simple rules.

The rules are that I need to tell you 5 reasons that I think life is grand and then pass it on to 5 people.

1) Life is grand because i have love.

2) Life is grand because i still have my father to nag me and turn my life into a hurricane. hahahhaa.. this is of course with good thots.

3) Life is grand because there's Dommy, Piper and a bit of Yellow in my life.

4) Life is grand because i can do what i love to do and still earn a living.

5) Life is grand because i get to go to work in my pajamas and my just woken up face.

My nominees for this award are...

Emila Yusof ~ Emila's Illustrated Blog

Nick ~ Spiff the Spaceman

Ken ~ Tapestry

Mariuca ~ Wishing on a Falling Star

Yoon See ~ Greener Pasture

Enjoy :)

One of my favourite books... The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Have you ever read it before? Ahhh.. they even made a movie outta it in 2004.

Its a timeless love story about Noah and Allie. I love these soapy love stories.

Watching these love stories over and over again still never bore me. hahaha.. I am hopeless and a romantic. Living a fairytale life in my head ONLY. hahaha..

Its only normal for people like me to have an active imagination. Kinda like China in my head. Or is it normal to imagine too much?

Me, myself and I in my own China in my head :D

There are some really beautiful soundtracks in this movie. One of it is an oldie by Alan Jackson. Remember When.

Its one of my Papa's favourite songs too. Sometimes i hear him singing it. When he is alone and remember mom... he sings this song.

I believe in love. And timeless love. Don't lose hope in love. Cos with love... everything becomes beautiful. The sky is blue even on a rainy day. You would even be grinning when you are stuck in a traffic jam coming back to your "love". Donuts taste EXTRA sweet. You would have a spring in your walk. And thats love. That's what love is all about.

Here's Alan Jackson for you. Enjoy. Don't forget to watch the movie.

Patches - Dickey Lee

This song sounds kinda morbid... so soon after Valentine. But its a nice song. I remember this one from my childhood.

In this present space and time, there are still parents who won't consent to certain marriages. Be it different races or religion or clan or status. Some would be brave and elope if they truly love each other... some would just hope and pray that maybe someday, the parents will give their consent and blessings... while still waiting till their hairs turn grey.

I am sure parents would only want the best for their children. And some do overlook their children's happiness over theirs. Choices have to be made. Some right some wrong ones. Who is to know what would the future be.

Overheard my papa humming to this tune on youtube :)

I got a call yesterday earrly morning... from PP's mommy. She was on the way to work and was stuck in the jam all becos of Yellow Stuff. hahahahhahahaaa

Was just talking to my sister the day before. About how Goldies love water. Sis have a small pond in the back garden. Kinda like a water feature with a small waterfall. Since Yellow Stuff is at a very curious stage in her life, we decided to put her at the back garden just in case she decides to take a walk on her own and go missing if she's at the front porch. She is safe... but.. not safe from the water. Everyday she is walking nearer and nearer to the pond... which is about 1 feet deep.

Yellow Stuff have been very busy the last weekend chomping on hibiscus, grass and even small pebbles. She always have to have something in the mouth. Sis even peeked at her and saw her at the edge of the pond.. drinking from the pond. When she called her.. she just innocently walked away.

Curiosity IS one of the most important aspects of life be it for animals or humans. It is through curiosity, a deep desire to find out things, that life promotes itself. It keeps itself alive, reproducing again, and gathers resources more effectively each time.

A lack of curiosity can lead to a lack of life. And a very bored sleepy dog.

And guess what happen to the Yellow Stuff that morning.
When everyday is a Valentines Day... most commercial giants would be very happy of course.

If you are attached with the right person, you are actually celebrating Valentines Day everyday. That's a better thought.

My funny Valentine started off with me sending my dad and his friend on a train bound south. Both old folks were so happy and excited to get out. They were actually grinning from ear to ear... hahhahahaa.. i was more worried about them getting lost in the big train station at their destination but.. these old folks have eaten more salt than i have eaten rice. Their worldly ways should do them fine.

Then i went to visit mom... and got her some flowers. Uncle asked me.. what kinda of flowers you want today? I immediately said.. roses of course. Red ones too. hahhahahaa.. Uncle said.. noooo... red roses are expensive today. (I think he was saving his red roses for the lovers) But nice uncle made me a bouquet of purple eustomas for my mummy. It looked very beautiful where she is.

Came back for Dommy to visit the vet. He happily jumped into my car not knowing where i was taking him. hahahahah.. He always get conned. Clueless. hahhahahaahaaha... When i was nearer to the vet's practice... suddenly Dommy sat up.. and remembered. He had a worried look on his face... hhahahahahhaa.. the look was of course Priceless. Dr Teo said the skin rash is not as bad as last time. But i requested for a crew cut for Dom since the days are getting really warm. He was short-handed today... so i took Dommy home and to return tomorrow for his shave and treatment. Dommy was surprised.... No injection... no shave... he happily trotted into my car and give me a huge grin. Yea yea.. dogs.. they smile and grin too.. when they are happy. hahhahaa.. Priceless. He doesn't know what's in store for him tomorrow.. hehhehehe Off we went home.

Famished and tired... i just had a quick lunch and went to pick Boy. Boy was visiting his grandma... and he had a big bunch of flowers. Hmm.. i was wondering.. which girl spend so much on him. hhahahahahhaa.. And he even wanted to buy flowers for grandma. That was so sweet of him. He thought of mum. But uncle at the same flower shop... told him.. your sister.. came this morning and bought some. You no need to buy. Save money. hahhahahahahaa.. Such a nice uncle. Boy went.. no no.. she's not my sister.. she's my auntie. Hahahhahahaha I should be happy about the sister part.. at least i am looking young.. hehhehehee.. Sometimes i go to the market and people call me auntie.. aiyaaaaaaaaaaaaa... i just glare at them... but who wouldn't call me auntie.. if you see me in my "just woken up" face and dragging my legs to the market.

Boy had a secret. He bought the flowers for a girl. But he said... i don't know which girl i want to give to yet. *adoi* I on the other hand knew which girl he want to give to. His mind is set. I know.. he cannot lie to me. I knew him since he was a baby in his mummy's tummy.

We came home.. and all three of us slept. Dommy, Boy and I.. all slept till late.

Woke up to go dinner. But... we detour to the girl's house.

Being shy and being a teenager... he doesn't want to give the flowers to the girl face to face. I told him... be a gentleman.. give to her face to face. But nooooooo... we drove in darkness like some secret agent... sitting and stalking outside her house. Then when we see the opportunity.. he ran towards the house... to drop the flowers... but ran back immediately... hahhahahhaa.. cos he got chased by a few big and small doggies... hahhahahahahaa.. He ran back as fast as his legs could carry him... with the flowers still in his hands. Adoi! hhahahahaa... Cos the neighbourhood was so filled with dogs... we decided to drive in right to the doorstep.. and drop it quickly.. and drove out. But i had trouble turning the car around because the road was so narrow. Hahhaa.. the experience was of course Priceless :)

Brought me back to the time when i was his age. I used to like this guy forever. Well... 3 years seems like forever... cos every other girl likes him too. He wouldn't even knew i liked him. We were friends.. but i remember him as the most good looking guy when i was a teenager. I even cycle pass his house sometimes. hahahahhaa.. Tell me about being thick-skinned and hard-up.. for his attention.. hahhahahahahaa When he sees me.. i would just say.. oh.. i was just in the neighbourhood.. hahhahahahaa.. while turning red.. and quickly cycling away. Priceless!

Both Boy and I came home after dinner and watch a whole lot of tv. Its been a while since we both watched tv... i think. At least for me... i enjoyed my Valentine just flipping channels and watched about 4 whole hours of tv. Dommy got so tired of waiting for me.. he just took the opportunity to jump up on the couch and slept there... hehhehe Papa's gonna be home tomorrow. I better tidy up the house a bit tomorrow.

One Valentine, my friend's husband cut out 2 paper red hearts and scribbled some lovely sentiments there. He gave one to his wife (you know who you are..lucky woman) and another to his little girl. I thought that it was so sweet. Inexpensive but done with heart. No hoity-toityness but sincere.

One of my favourite blogs... Matthias Inks... Matthias made Valentines day card for his wife and daughters... it was so cute.. and so with love.

My friend Spiff... says he's gonna cook his lovely wife some nice romantic breakfast for Valentines Day. That's really all it takes to make a woman happy.

Well... roses are really way too expensive today. hahahaha.. Even uncle forbid me to buy.

Valentines Day should not be about expensive gifts and spending bombs on dinners and hoity-toityness. Even though it sounds kinda nice (my evil thots overrides sometimes)... but commercial giants are the ones smiling to the banks. Everyday should be Valentines Day... if you have that special someone with you.

May everyday be Valentines Day to people in love... and people who are looking for love. Never despair cos there's always someone for you in this world. There's always someone for someone... just look right.. and look left. He/she is just there.

Bila Aku Jatuh Cinta ~ Nidji

It is Valentine's Day
I have much to say
My love is far far away
But i am here to stay.

Have pity on those who love each other and are separated.

* Bila Aku Jatuh Cinta means When I Fall in Love

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone...
love from Dommy, Kuning and Piper :x :x :x
All three of us... celebrated our Valentines Day at the park. Near the carousel... we pooed & peed and checked all our "love mails" left by our other doggie friends.
Since Kuning is here for the weekend, we got another extra doggie breath.. i mean another doggie friend to run laps around the house. And since she's a girl, we'll let her have the run of the whole house.
Have a good valentine and a great weekend. I am now off to show this new goldie girl my house and share some treats with her. I am trying to win her love. Ahhhhhhhh.. to be in love. I think i'll win heads down since Dommy is stuck in the hometown with Anny ;)
Grandpa is coming down tomorrow and hopefully i'll get to spend time with grandpa too.
Till then... wooooooofff! and a wooooooooooooooff we go...
love,
Piper
Happy 68th Birthday to you dear Papa!

Being 68 is hugeeeeeee. Don't know where we are going to take my papa out to eat yet tomorrow. Being the lazy one, i guess i'll make it my best excuse not to cook tomorrow. YehooooooOOOOO!

Hopefully my sisters will be home for the weekend. And we can have another big hulabaloo of a celebration again. Tomorrow its just gonna be Papa, Boy, Dommy and me. Dommy can't eat cake... so its just Papa, Boy and me to eat the cake. That reminds me to call Nancy for her very sweet deelicious butter cake.

Hmm... i haven't even bought my papa a gift yet. What should i get my father on his 68th Birthday? If i get a book.. he might just throw it back to me.. hahahaha.. If i get him music cds... he will say he only needs Youtube... Clothes.. he has too many... Maybe i get him a goldie.. Golden Retriever.. hehehe.. another excuse to own a golden myself.. hahahhahaa.. i am wicked.

Ahhhh... i don't know yet. Meantime i better get some sleep first. Else i'll be still sick tomorrow. Am still having the aftermath of a woozy day 2 of sickness.

Maybe we'll just go on a road trip again... so that my sisters need not come home. That would probably be the best birthday present for him. Hmmm... another road trip.

Dom... you better wake up and start packing....

Unanswered Prayers ~ Garth Brooks

I am thankful for all the people & woof woofs in my life plus all the cows, the hippos and the bees ;)

I am terrible with numbers and just as bad with dates. I don't remember people's anniversaries but only my loved ones birthdays. Each day I wake up not really knowing what day the day is. I don't wear a watch. I don't even know the time. But i am always almost punctual when i am meeting people.

Most of you must be thinking i am having a memory loss. :) I choose not to remember and i choose not to know. My days just pass by and before i know it... i will be a white haired lady living on borrowed time... hahahhahaa.. I am having strands of white hair. Ops! I am getting old.

I love people that celebrate their love. It makes me believe that love is alive. Love surely happens for a reason.

Today is my friend Emila Yusof's wedding anniversary (hope i can still make it).

May the bonds that tie you with Zaim remained knotted forever.

May you fall in love over and over again... each and every single day.. but only with Zaim.

Happy Anniversary to you dear Emi & Zaim.

oh gentle creature
oh how i love thee
yellow like the sunshine
happy as a lark
one day i will have you
one day you'll make my days all yellow
;)
Love the picture above. The picture is not mine. Found it on the internet. Just wanted to share it with all of you :)

Love Letters in the Sand - Pat Boone

Papa is humming this song on the other computer now while playing his spider solitaire :) shhhhh... don't tell him i told you :D

We grew up listening to Pat Boone... and a whole lot of other nice nice songs. Will share with all of you more of my papa's songs. Each time he hums a old tune on youtube... i'll post it in :) Enjoy!

It takes but a minute to get a crush on someone
(kinda like love at first sight)
an hour to probably like someone
(well... even if the person farts.. if its love at first sight.. you don't even smell a thing)
but surely a lifetime to forget someone :)

but... how long do you think it takes to fall in love with a face like this?

kinda like immediately.. hahahhahahaa.. it is surely a love at first sight. Even though this bunch of yellow fur poos and pees quite a lot.

She comes running to you at full speed like a speeding rocket even when you don't even call her. You just look at her and here she comes... hahahhahaha

Looking very innocent even after she has wrecked havoc. Here's she trying to get a tummy rub even after she left my dad screaming no no nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.. My dad found her running up and down and knocking the reindeer christmas ornaments into the pond. One reindeer was already sinking/swimming in the pond.. and another was without an ear. hahhahahaa.. She was already chewing on the plastic leaves. All i could hear from my room was my dad going NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... then it was arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. that was when she promptly knocks the reindeer into the pond with a swift fast knock.

With an angel's face like this.. who would not fall in love with her. She became our "Kuning" for two whole days. She was our guest for our Chinese New Year holidays. Sis and i loved her almost at once... cos we keep going out to play with her. We almost forgot about PP and Dommy... hahahhaa.. Poor PP and Dommy.. so unloved at least for the two whole days.

I do miss this yellow furball. She was indeed a whole lot of fun. And you surely need a whole lot of energy if you want to have a goldie. They just love you to bits. Till we meet again Kuning.

*Kuning means Yellow

Looking for a new dog? A brand new puppy?
Where do you go to get one? A pet store? A breeder? The internet?

Before you buy a puppy/dog, take a look at the video below.

This undercover video from The Humane Society exposes dog auctions used by puppy mills.

Help spread the word and stop puppy mills. You can do your part by downloading the banners here and post it on your websites or your social networking profile. We all can help by spreading the word to our family and friends.

After spending a short two days with a Golden Retriever the last Chinese New Year holidays, i had a sudden urge to get a goldie puppy too. But maybe i should go check out the SPCA or the Furry Friends Farm. I can do my part in saving another dog / cat and give them a home.

Having a goldie would complete me... but maybe next time ;) I'll have to make sure the goldie is not from a puppy mill.

My name is Brandy and i steal hearts :) woooof!
I came to stay with Dommy & PP's family during the recent Chinese New Year holidays because my mummy and daddy went on a short trip and it was too tiring for them to take me along.
I kinda like it here cos there's loads of places to run... and things to check out. PP's mummy is always with me... keeping me company and teaching me new tricks. I think she kinda forgot about PP for a while. I think the handsome PP was jealous of me. Woooooof!
With a face like mine, who would not love me. Even the cool Mr Dom was checking me out all the time. I know I know cos he is always trying to sneak out and play with me. But i am too fast for him. I just stick close to PP's mummy's legs... so that i can be safe.
I am a Golden Retriever... and i am going to grow real big. Check out our paws.
Everyone loves a golden... and everyone loves me. Did i manage to steal your heart?
The Golden Retriever is a breed of dog, historically developed as a gundog to retrieve shot waterfowl and upland game during hunting. As such they were bred to have a soft mouth to retrieve game undamaged and an instinctive love of water. Their intelligence and versatility sees them employed in a variety of roles including illegal drug detection, search and rescue, as hunting dogs and as guide dogs. Its friendly, eager-to-please and patient demeanor has also made it one of the most popular family dogs (by registration) in the world today.
The temperament of the Golden Retriever is a hallmark of the breed and is described in the standard as "kindly, friendly and confident".
Golden Retrievers are very attached to their owners. Leaving them alone in a room can cause the dog to become very sad and distressed. They have a need to always have something in their mouth, and like to carry things around. They are great athletes and must be walked daily, or they will become restless and anxious. This makes them an ideal family pet.

thank you for being my besty best!
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Genesis 3:19

Another passing in my family. We finally lost her to the Big C in a very short period of 2 months.
It was a mighty battle. She fought well... and she fought all the way to stay alive. Her will to live was all she had, but the Big C has a mightier weapon.
My cousin sister passed away on the night of 31 January 2009.
What happens when your body is all riddled with cancer and all you have is just your will to live? Even with a positive mind, is it enough to fight and win? How fast and furious can the cancer be? She didn't even get to take a breather to rest and have a good night sleep since the Big C came. She told us she have not slept well in the last 2 months. Finally she gets to rest.
May your soul rest in peace Stephanie.
