One of the animals that were picked up recently by our rescue person. This is Twiggy.

This is the first time i saw her at the shelter. A bit afraid.. some soft growls but is quite gentle. The growls were because she was protective of her little ones.

Their eyes were not even open yet.

This is not just any mommy dog and babies. Twiggy is emaciated.

We have given her canned dog food, kibbles, eggs, goats milk, liver, boiled chicken. She doesn't seem to put on any weight. Its been two weeks since she first arrived. Her stools are however better looking last week.

I seek your help. Does anyone have any idea how to help her? Your comments are greatly appreciated.

This is another emaciated young dog that was picked up last week. She however is fostered at one of the volunteers home. She has parvo too.

We see so many homeless dogs and cats around us. The least we could do is offer them some food and water. For a young dog like this to get to this stage of emaciation, she must be hungry for a very long time.

Sometimes nursing mums seem to give all nourishment to their pups. We hope Mum starts putting on some flesh soon.

She is nursing.. and for such a thin dog.. she does have milk. It is however worrying to feel her bones.

oh that is so sad to see a dog in that condition. I don't have any suggestions but I do hope they start gaining some weight

Thank you Ann. Was just wondering what is the best diet to give her to help her along the road to recovery. Her puppies are walking around now.

Oh my. This is just awful. They are so very precious. They need forever homes and food and water. Most of all they need to be loved.

Have a blessed day. ☺
