Dear Anny, I'm pretty sure I saw a post on your dad on my GR yesterday or the day before. I didn't have time to read it because I was on my way to Brisbane. What happened? Did you delete it? Hope you're okay x

ANNY, I'm feeling a bit twilight zone here. I don't see my comment, though you must have, because you wrote me. I guess you deleted it since it was Irrelevant to this post, which is fine.
I know I saw something else last night on my GR, in passing, and I don't see it here today. About your dad again. PLEASE! What is going on?! Am I nuts?

Thank you to The Typist for kicking my ass and getting me back to writing a very long post for you to read :) You've really thought i've conked right?

~ 19th Feb 2013
Here I am waiting for my train home. Another hour to burn. A macchiato maybe? Starbucks just 10 feet away. Starbucks is where we usually hang out for long catching up chats when i go to Kuala Lumpur. Hoity toity coffee. I could get a normal coffee for 1/10 of the price but we love to do the hoity toity coffee once in a while.

Its raining. The heavens weep. Or perhaps a good wash before they welcome another angel in their folds. She's on the way to Penang again for her final journey to the open seas.

She has finally left us. She passed away on Monday in her sleep. A peaceful death. I am glad. Glad.. happy.. that she does not need to suffer anymore. Her sufferings have finally ended.

Only her ashes came home to Kuala Lumpur in an urn for funeral rites. She was cremated in Penang and brought home on the day she passed away. Her father's wishes. He doesn't want the body to suffer anymore.

It is still Chinese New Year here in my country. CNY usually is about 15 days of celebration. Some people would not come for a funeral as its their beliefs. Some will fear bad luck if they visit a funeral during the CNY. Friends and family however will show up.

I have spent Monday in tears. I am all dried up yesterday. I know she would not want to see us cry. It will hurt her more to see us all in tears. I believe her spirit was with us that night. Even when we went out looking for vegetarian dishes for the prayer table. She was with us in the car directing us all the way like she always does. She was our human GPS. She knows the roads of Kuala Lumpur like the back of her hands.

Don't really know what the days ahead will be yet but I will try and make them remarkable. Time to mend some ties and its time to start keeping appearances with some people.

What makes her different from most of my friends? I have lots of friends but I choose to keep appearances with only a few.

I've known her for 20+ years. We practically spent most of our wild years doing nothing wild and have a good time. We have been through laughther, tears and mostly everything else. I was never angry with her.. not even once. I don't even remember both of us ever having a fight. She was like my soul sister. She trusts me with her secrets and I tell her most of mine. We know to call each other when we needed someone to talk to. We are always available for each other. Sometimes we spend hours and hours on the phone to catch up on lost time.

When she is sad, she always eats ice-cream. We've sat on kerbs outside 7-Eleven sharing a whole tub of ice-cream. It always makes her feel better.

3rd March 2013

She came into my life like instant coffee or instagram. She was instantly my friend. I liked her the first time we became friends. We had many adventures together doing stupid not too wild things. Usually we love to go on road trips and pig out. Sometimes with a whole bunch of people... and sometimes just the two of us when the rest didn't want to catch up. We could go anywhere together, and most of the time, she'll leave me alone to do my picture taking and sometimes she begged me to take her pictures. She doesn't understand why i rather take pictures of windows.. old buildings... or tiles.

I do have a lot of pictures of her. I am currently working on a photobook for her family. Her father misses her most. He could use some good memories of her. I don't know when i'll finish it. It is sometimes quite hard to do the photobook when my vision suddenly blurrs out when i remember how and when the picture was taken and what we did that day.

She has led quite an eventful life. She started working very hard when she left school. She started working 12 hr days and it went on to 16 hr days and sometimes at 12 midnight she'll call me and tell me that she's still waiting for materials to arrive. I do not know of anyone who has worked so hard from the beginning and never quite spend much on herself. She'll give and give it all away to her family... sometimes to friends and to whoever who asked. That's her.

Over the years, we have had other friends and other groups of people in our lives, but somehow we'll go back to this group of people we grew up with. She was with another close group of friends before she got sick. But somehow, she came back to us again. Somehow she was comfortable with us. We understand her from the beginning.

She only started being good to herself in the last three years. She started travelling abroad. She went from Dubai to London to Spain to the USA to Australia and to some Asian countries. She was finally happy and finally willing to spend some money on herself. I've always told her to go out there... spend some money. You have kept enough money, spend on yourself. Don't worry about taking care of other people, love yourself sometimes.

She's at the time of her life when she has made enough to lead a comfortable life but it has to be taken away from her in a most horrible way.

I knew her ending was near. I knew she was going to go. I sometimes pray that her ending will come fast and painless. There's no cure. It has gone too far. A miracle doesn't happen all the time.

We didn't make it for her last birthday. She managed to hold on till her birthday. Birthdays meant everything to her. She used to have a countdown... she'll have celebrations a few days before her birthday. All the way to her birthday. She was a Valentine girl.

Her family was with her. They did a recording of the birthday in the hospital. It was very sad to watch but she was happy that day. Very happy and she even manage to blow out the candles. 4 days after her birthday, she gave up. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her sister sleeping beside her.

For the past 20+ years of my life... she has not missed texting or calling me at 12 midnight on each of my birthdays. Birthdays meant so much to her. She always try to make other people's birthdays special too.

Anybody can get cancer. Cancer cells are in all of us. It can happen anytime but being unhappy or being stressed could just bump up the speed more. Forgiveness is good. Being resentful or being angry over the littlest of things doesn't do any good to anyone.

I spend a day crying.. just sobbing away. Everything blurrs out. The tears just kept coming. Then i started stuffing myself with rice. I don't know why. That's how i deal with grieve. When mom passed away, i just kept eating and made sure everyone ate. Because life must go on no matter what.

We can blame everything on situations. We can blame it on other people. We can stop living and just keep crying day after day. We can stop working and just blame it on sadness. We can blame everyone and the death of a friend by not doing anything the whole day. But time will still tick and go on. We can take some time to grieve but life goes on in the most hardest way. It has to still go on.

I believe she is still with us in some moments of our lives. We carry her in our memories. I might not find such a wonderful friend again, but i still have Dom. He'll make sure i wake up and get up from bed. He'll make sure i eat and go for walks. He'll make sure to let me know i am loved.

I saw the tiniest orange butterfly in the kitchen the other day. I just hi to the butterfly and asked.. is it youuuuuuuuuuuuu. *LOL* Then i took its picture. A tiny grasshopper came to the kitchen yesterday while i was cooking. I asked again, is it youuuuuuuuuuuuuu again? Not very nice colors today. I assume the black and white bird in the garden is mum. I see it everywhere i go. My mom did mention to my nephew sometime back that when she passes, she wants to be a bird and just be free. It works and it keep and helps people like me move on.

My friend called herself Rain. It was from a very long time ago. Even before the South Korean singer named himself that. I had a good laugh over that and ask her why Rain?? She says its easy to remember and when it rains, people will think of me.

And now, when it rains, i will remember her.

I would like to apologize profusely for not being around lately. Its just that... i've been unfaithful. Just unfaithful to you... and you and you too but to Dommy the most.

This unfaithfulness is for some greater good.. (i think). I am just testing something and hopefully it will make a bit of a dent or a lil dent and help create some social change. A dent is still better than nothing. When i can gather myself up for a proper post... i will.

But today i saw this really funny video... i really had to share with you guys.. cos it made me laugh so much :D

btw.. i think i kinda lost some doggie blog links on my very long list. Somehow some just disappeared. I didn't delete anyone intentionally and hopefully will find and add you guys back. Even i do not know the ins and outs of my own blog anymore. *LOL*

The thing that came out from not blogging is... my ratings are looking pretty good :) Not that i am bothered too much by it. Anyways... hope you guys get entertained by this funny guy.

Till we meet again. Dommy sends his love and licks.

**Georgia... this fellow in the video reminds me of you! Yes you.. the donut eater!
We are going on the road tomorrow morning. So we are gonna cheat a bit schedule a post and hopefully Blogger will help us post it up tomorrow to continue with our Matchaton with GLP. I can't wait till the 7th day. *LOL*

We are running out of material to post as its almost gonna be 12 and we have not packed at all. *LOL*

My nephew is going to be confirmed tomorrow. He's going to be 17. I am not even baptised yet. It will be a nice break for dad... and to play catch up with my siblings too.

Dommy's all ready... and all puffed up and pretty from today's shower and home groom. Hope he still smells nice in the car tomorrow.

We are going off to see Mr P. We'll bring the big old gigantic camera.. and hopefully be able to catch some pictures while we are there.

Hoping not to bore you all too much, we plugged in some mooziks for you from youtube. I grew up listening to these oldies which were not OLDIES back then. We listen to these songs in the car.. at home and whereever there's a radio. You can almost gauge how old i am from these songs. *LOL*

Its all my papa's songs. I swear! Enjoy.

 Curly is already snoooooozing.

Note to GLP's Typist:
3 posts and 4 more to go. YAY! Then we are freeeeeeeeeeeeee freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i tell you. FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! How and why did i let you talk me into this.. wanna call it quits? hahahhahahaa
How to smell like your furry best friend? Its an easily acquired scent.
  • First you try and drag out your furry friend from under the bed where he's hiding.
  • If that don't work, tempt him with jingly jingly keys.
  • If that don't work too... you'll have to bring out the secret weapons.
Secret weapons around here are usually
  1. the broom to sweep him out.. HAHAHHAHAHA.. it usually spooks him out
  2. the green one
Green one always get him out without the sweep. He is easily conned and easily bought.

You know you cannot ask you furry friend to step into the loo for his bath. That don't never works with Curly. He has to be lifted and carried to the loo.

Into the loo we went. Our loo is very small. Between the shower and the container for water to the toilet seat, we only have a very tight space. I shower him in the loo as its tight and there's warm water.

If you have never tasted doggy soap, bath your dog in a tight small toilet. You will get a taste of the wondrous soap and they sure don't taste like chocolate cupcakes. After the shower and everything, he has to be lifted and carried to our small storeroom with a closed door just in case he tries to runs very fast and hide under the table. If that happens, you'll never get him out even with 10 Green ones.
Why are you taking pictures silly cow? I will not look your way

Hurry up silly woman. I am an OLD dog you know. I can catch a cold.
I am still not looking your way.

Do you really haveta put your mobile so close to my face?
Wait till i grab it and munch on it.

What interest would our readers have with my beautiful back?
Or do they? I am not FAT you know. Its just fluffs.I do have a waist.

Are we done yet? Quit taking pictures and hurry up will ya.
My knees are crumbling under me.

Do we haveta go thru all the procedures. Just a blow dry will do you know.
I am not even dirty. I've just acquired a very nice scent and now you have washed and blow it all away.
Do you even know how many days of sweats and sweating to acquired my beautiful scent.

YAY! We are done! Am i the cutest fluff? I am OLD but i can still be cute.

Yes.. i am on your bed silly woman. I am not getting down until i am rewarded for my patience.

Can i have my greenie now please?

My cow now smells like a dog. She has successfully transferred all my beautiful scent over to herself.
I think she stinks! She needs a bath.

Note to GLP's Typist:
We are only on day 2 of the Matchaton. How am i gonna last one week? I think i might haveta cheat.

Its my mom's fifth year death anniversary today. I wrote a really soppy post which i decided not to post. I couldn't continue writing that post too. Maybe someday when it does not hurt any more.

I don't have much to share with you guys today since i wrote and cried too much on the last post. I can't see very well too now as my eyes have puffed up like mini cupcakes. They are hopefully chocolate flavoured cupcakes. Damn i am hungry. But i promise my friend GLP's Typist that i'll join her in her Matchaton. I will try my very best to do a post a day for just a week. Any longer is not quite possible. At least not for me.

I got a few shades darker from running around to a few places today.

Sent my car off to the mechanics to do a service as its sputtering white smoke. My usual mechanic Ah Man was not around. I only trust Ah Man with my car because he's really smart and responsible. A younger fella came jumping out from between the mountains of new tires.

He got into my car and sent me home while he took my junk off to repair. He was so shy when i ask for his name. *LOL* I thought he was going to freeze in fear or choke from saying his name. I am really an old lady. I even drive like one. Oh.. his name is Ah Sang. Chinese fellas always use a single word from their whole entire name and just add a "Ah" in front. My friends call me Ah Ann sometimes. There's a lot of ee ah eee ee ahh ahh...

My car is an old junk. It only takes me to the market and back. Sometime it takes us to Kuala Lumpur and my dad will have to pray all the way just in case my car conked halfway on the highway. It has conked before... on the highway with two dogs, an old man, a kid and me. *LOL*

I cannot afford a new car now as my office accountant has got really lazy and decided not to print our payslips for us. Its been a very long time since i got my payslip. Its a wonder i am still getting paid. My office accountant got really pissed and defensive today when i asked for payslips. He said his software has conked and he can't print payslips. That's what he said last year too. He said if you don't trust me, get an auditor in to check. What an idiotic accountant. If your software conked, you should go out there today and get a new software. My boss can afford one.

I made a new friend today at the hardware shop. I was looking for a tradesman to fix a lock at the apartment. Its really very hard to get people to come by to just fix a broken lock for you. The hardware shop owner was asking me if i know how to change the locks myself.

My new friend is called Mountain. I kid you not. He passed me his namecard and his name was printed as Mountain Ng. I really tried not to choke and laugh because I do have a friend who name herself Rain. That was even before Rain the Korean singer got famous. He does have a very nice body.

Mr Mountain came with two workers to fix one lock. He only charged a little for service. They don't have an office or a shop. He operates from the car. All his supplies and drills are in the car. I got him another job to fix a grilled door for me at the apartment. I'll see him again in ten days time or earlier.

Dom only saw me going in and out a lot today. He usually eats breakfast with me... and share my brekkie sometimes. I only like to eat bread for breakfast... really. I am just lazy that way. I also have to feed him his thyroid pills in the morning.

Here he is with me in the late evening. We are I am watching telly and munching on bunny cookies that sis brought in March. Opps! Its May already and i just opened this pack of Easter bunny cookies. Even my cookies are expiring fast. Time is just moving too fast this year.

Temptations... evil woman

FYI... Curly got his share of the bunny cookie.
I ate all the yellow cream parts and he ate all the brown parts.

Do drop by Corbin's blog. He'll be needing a lot of prayers and paws crossed for his recovery.

In our national language.
Mountain = Gunung;
Rain = Hujan

Goodnite everyone!

Note to GLP's Typist:
I do not know how this post got this long... *LOL* Anyways... hopefully i can do a post tomorrow and the next day and just for a week Miss Typist.
Its my turn to do a blog post. It has come to this stage where we each take turns to do a post and bug the other to hurry up and pump up a new post. Oh yes... i have been lazy. Really i have been really lazy. There's no good excuse anymore :)

Recently i have acquired the taste for more tv time. I numb my brains with so much tv that its beginning to be worrisome. Dommy looks at me all worried each night but he still sits with me. I switched off my computers about 7pm... have my dinner... wait for dad to watch the news for 30mins from 8pm... and lo and behold, the tv's all MINE. MINE MINE MINE. Muahhahhahaa.. i watch this and that and this and that... i channel flip like a couch potato without the chips and numb them skull till 11pm.. sometimes 12. I AM DOOMED.

Hi... my name is Anny. I am a TV addict.

Let me share this with you first while i go scoot off to catch some more tv time. lalallalalalallaa

This video cracked me up silly and i watched it many times. The music of the video made me laugh too. Its just so calmingly right for the video. I know Dommy would love to have some of the kitteh kats in the garden give him a massage. But most of the time, they just bob him on the head.

Dommy and i love watching kitteh kats in the garden. The last time we did some cat watching, we got into a whole lot of trouble with dad. These are alley cats and they love to come to our garden to climb on the trees... dig some of them pots of soil... and just relax in the shade. They love to sleep in the pots too.

We leave them some kitty food and water. They have a meal and they go on their way. The smaller fellas usually stick around as they feel safe here in the garden. They have big trees as scratching posts and they have shade in the porch if it rains. Cats really like their life outdoors. They don't like to be contained. They like to bask in the sun and they like to leave paw prints on your car. Sometimes they try to sneak into the house to check it out.

I kinda like seeing them around. They are a calming presence. They watch and sit with me when i do the gardening. When i rake the leaves, they have races and jump on the leaves. They are totally independent and comes and go. Cats are full of character. They can earn a living without even trying. You just fall for their eyes and their soft mews and you'll be getting them their dinner on time.

I was at the SPCA the other day. The SPCA in my town is a no-kill facility. On my way in, i saw a box of puppies by the lane. All the cute little puppies were just a few weeks old and overflowing out from the box. They were left outside near the small sign to the SPCA. There were a lot of lorries zooming just beside the small road going in. Its still a long way in. If you are going to surrender puppies to the SPCA, why do you not take them all the way in. You can't really expect a bunch of puppies to find their way into the SPCA. People do not want to pay the surrender fees. But the folks at the SPCA do come out and check for abandoned dogs and pups each day. They are very nice people.

When i gathered the puppies back into the box, it kinda felt like Christmas to me. Its magical and one of the puppies even licked my fingers. It felt nice. Being so small, hopefully they will be adopted very soon. There are so many many dogs at the SPCA. Why are people still buying dogs when there's so many you can adopt and rescue. Our culture is such, we want something new.. something pretty... something cute. What if you don't find them so cute after a few months?

Don't buy... Go ADOPT... and NEUTER your pets.

You can't save them all, but you can save some. Its does makes a difference.

Today is Good Friday. Our office in Singapore is closed as its a public holiday there. I hear peace and a quiet day ahead :)

Last year our friend Mr Pip shared a message with all of us. We want to bring it back again this year. Baby rabbits are not Easter gifts.

Here are some Tips for a Pet-Safe Easter from ASPCA

Do say a prayer for Judi. She's still needing all the prayers and thoughts. If you wanna send her a card, please email to Kristin at mrpippip(at)gmail(dot)com for the address. You can read about Judi's updated condition at Taylor Cats.

I haven't been taking much pictures lately of Curly and Piper. But this is one of the most recent one of them together... well.. almost together.

Over to you now Missy Typist :) Your turn :p
Honey... we are homeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hmmmm... that don't seem quite right. *LOL*

Did any of you thought that maybe i have kapooted quietly and gone to hell heaven... hopefully heaven. Morbid thoughts.. i know. But sometimes, when some blogger friend goes missing for a very long time without a word... that's what some people will think. Or probably some people will just assume that we have given up on blogging. We do apologise for our absence.

We did thought about waiting until Wednesday to do a post with a Wordless Wednesday. Somehow, we have been doing quite a lot of Wordless this year :)

We have been busy.. kind of... with entertaining our lil guest. He is small but he is powerful and full of energy. He might be a bit drowsy when he wakes up but after a bottle of milk, his batteries are all recharged and there he goes.

He's so fast that you can't even get a decent non-blurry picture of him. Here he is on the plasmacar that i borrowed from my friend. He has a similar car at home and he does know how to drive this vehicle real real fast.

I don't have many little ones running my life here often. Most of my nephews and nieces here are all in their teens. This lil guy did run all of our lives the time he arrived one month ago till he went home last Saturday. And yes... we do miss him a lot now. Its so very quiet here now... our home is now empty without the pitter patter of little feet and the zooming sounds of the plasmacar.

He left many drawings on the fridge... and he left many stickers on the wall *LOL* He taught me many things with his wide-eyed innocence too.

When he arrived, Dommy was not groomed and was in his curly wurly self. A week later, when i sent Dom to the groomers, he came back with EYES. *LOL* The lil guy was in awe and said.. Dommy has EYEEEEEESSS. He has black EYESSSSSSSSSSSSS. That really made me laugh so much.

Here's Curly after his spa & groom session. Curly can see clearly now after the groom.

We went to McD's a lot for sundaes. I've never seen a kid enjoying ice-cream as much as he does. He went mmmmmmmmmmmMMMM mmmmmMMMMM with each bite. We even taught him to dip his fries and chicken nuggets in the sundae. *LOL*

Most of the pictures i have of him is blurry. *LOL* Until the last two days, we manage to get some decent shot of him.

We watched many cartoons too. And a lot of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Timmy Time, Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, Jungle Junction, The Cat in the Hat, Word World, Banana in Pajamas and many more. I never heard of the Oso fella before. I think i am gonna keep this Kids Channel for a while. Don't tell my dad.

Dommy's been feeling a little left out and was LOA for most of March. He slept and slept most of the time. He still get the best seat in the car when we travelled to Kuala Lumpur. He always get the co-driver seat while the rest of the family gets stuffed behind with some of them stuffs which we couldn't fit into the boot space. *LOL*

Dommy didn't get much pictures taken for March. I just have some blurry pictures of him and this one side profile shot of him. I am sure some of you would have missed him.

We flooded the airport with some tears when it was time for the lil guy to go home. It will be another two years before he comes back again. He would be 5 then.

Each and everyone of us have our own lives to live and our own story to write. Even though we do miss each other a lot... especially my sibling who is so very far away, we each have our paths to walk. When our paths crossed again, we shall have fun and food again.

“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” ~ Dr. Seuss

My friend who is undergoing chemo for breast cancer just had her 4th chemo and is now as bald as an egg. She is still in very high spirits. The lump on her breast has reduced from 7cm to 3.6cm. We had a very good chat last weekend and hopefully she will stick on and finish her chemotherapy no matter how draining it is for her. Hopefully she will be able to have an op soon to remove the lump. There's still a "dot" on her liver which is not looking too great. But we are hopeful that she will get better one day. Thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts.

Footnote to Georgia's momma who wishes to remain anonymous and prefers to be called The Typist... Thank you for writing and prodding me to stick a post in for March :) We needed some push sometimes.

We stole this picture from Little Dogs On Long Leashes
A very strange day today. We got up very early today as its Tuesday. It is strangely very dark. My dad gave me a holler from the porch and ask me to off the porch lights while giving me an earful about wasting electricity before he left for his morning walks. I didn't hear much of what he said as i was half awake. But it was strangely very dark at 7am. I was waiting for Aini. Even by 7.30 am, we still have the lights on in the whole house. Good thing my dad was not back yet.. else...

Dommy and i went for a long walk to check out his peemails. He left a lot of them along the way for his friends. We met up with Joejer. Poor lil fella is having very bad arthritis. Some mornings, he cannot go for his walks anymore. For a tiny fella, he is still full of life. Very old. His eyes are all cloudy whitish grey. Cataract. He is one of Dommy's friends here. They both greet each other happily each time they meet. Even if they meet 2 or 3 times along the way, same enthusiasm like they have not met for a very long time. In actual fact, they did meet about a few minutes ago on another lane.

A lot of clouds... a little bit of a drizzle today. Not too warm but smoky air... something somewhere must be burning.

We have a bit of a lull at work today. Off we went to play catchup with some of our fellow bloggers. We have missed a lot of posts. Catching up on the reading.

We got to Georgia Lil Pea's blog. This doggie and her typist always makes us laugh. She is becoming such a good girl lately. If you have not met GLP yet, you should stop by and check her out.

Her Typist has quite a big influence on me sometimes. A picture of a pan of eggs on her post today got me frying eggs for lunch. *LOL* A mere coincidence actually. Dad was out with his friend. And when he is out, i usually get a bit lazy and opt for an easy lunch. When he is around, he usually MUST HAVE rice for lunch. And he must have lunch before 1pm else he'll kick a fuss. Usually we get a takeaway. Chicken rice or rice with dishes. Its easy. I don't cook lunch. I only do dinners.

The thing with them eggs is... we have a lot of eggs. Almost a dozen and a half of eggs from December. Before we left for our holidays, we bought too many eggs as i wanted to do some cakes for Christmas with my niece. But as work got piled up last minute before the shutdown, all the eggs were left unattended and forgotten till we came home. Poor girl was waiting for me to bake with her.

Transformer Tabby

Ever since we came home, my dad's been asking me every other day... are the eggs still okay? Can we still eat them... can we can we can we... Everyday he asks me the same questions for a whole week. Finally today... i took a few eggs out.. and make a hugeeeeeeeee omelette. They were still okay :) Since i got too ambitious and broke too many eggs, we all had some eggs. I had mine with bread. Dom has his with his kibs. Even the cats in the garden had some too with their kitteh kat kibs. Everyone was feeling a bit eggy after that. Transformer Tabby seems to love eggs. Charlie Chaps doesn't quite like eggs.

Charlie Chaps

My dad went out in the afternoon and came back with... yes.. you guessed it right. Another 10 new eggs. He told me he don't wanna eat the old eggs as he says they might already have gone bad. *burp* We (Dommy, me and them kitteh kats) were secretly burping eggs. We only have 5 more old eggs. From the chicken to the stores, how long can eggs stay fresh before they expired and go runny?

Dad has gone kapoots now. He is watching his favourite show on TV. Just for Laughs, GAGS. He is crazy about the show. Sometimes he laughs so loud i can even hear him from back here. Like this one below.

This show put him in a very good mood everytime.

We went to the vet in Kuala Lumpur in December to let him check on Dom since we are there. They took some blood from him and the results were good. He was due for a blood test in December. We decided to do it with the vet in Kuala Lumpur as he is better at getting a sample and he is quick. Dom is  doing well so far and the thyroid medicine is helping him. He looks good today. We are most grateful to the vet for saving his life back in August.

Sometimes when he sleeps, he shudders and twitch. Sometimes he breathes rapidly for a moment. I stop to watch him for a while. Like an old machine, it has some jerks.

I am back into the drill of things. With Chinese New Year less than two weeks away, some work has to be done quickly. We will be on the road again next week to Kuala Lumpur to be with family for the celebrations. And there's some cakes that need to be baked. Hopefully i can get it done this time else i'll end up with too many sticks of butter in the freezer.

Chinese New Year is a bit quiet now that my mom is no longer around. We still have our reunion dinners with my siblings. Usually we eat out at some chinese restaurants. Mom used to cook all these dishes. I miss those. She was a very very good cook.

My friend checks into the hospital tomorrow to get her chemo port fixed on her chest. She has to stay a night and her chemotherapy will begin on Thursday. We had a long chat yesterday. Usually we'll call each other for updates when it is almost time to sleep. We had some laughs over old stuffs. She is afraid. I would be too.

We are hoping for some miracles. Some divine intervention perhaps. Believing in miracles give people hope. We are hopeful she'll be well again soon. One day at a time. She's lucky to have her whole family beside her. Their support will be most important in her recovery. We want to thank all of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. She is lucky to have all of you who keep her in your prayers. You are all very kind people to be praying for a total stranger. The bloggieworld is indeed a very kind kind circle of friends. Thank you so much for your kindness.

"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all

And sweetest in the Gale is heard
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm

I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest Sea
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb of Me.

Dom looks so great now after his grooming session! And his collar tag is hilarious...I think it pretty much sums up what's on every dog's mind ;)
