One of the animals that were picked up recently by our rescue person. This is Twiggy.

This is the first time i saw her at the shelter. A bit afraid.. some soft growls but is quite gentle. The growls were because she was protective of her little ones.

Their eyes were not even open yet.

This is not just any mommy dog and babies. Twiggy is emaciated.

We have given her canned dog food, kibbles, eggs, goats milk, liver, boiled chicken. She doesn't seem to put on any weight. Its been two weeks since she first arrived. Her stools are however better looking last week.

I seek your help. Does anyone have any idea how to help her? Your comments are greatly appreciated.

This is another emaciated young dog that was picked up last week. She however is fostered at one of the volunteers home. She has parvo too.

We see so many homeless dogs and cats around us. The least we could do is offer them some food and water. For a young dog like this to get to this stage of emaciation, she must be hungry for a very long time.

“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.”
So... did anyone of you went out and bought the book or googled "why you should store your farts in a jar". It is becauseeeeeeeeeeeeeee... people believe that keeping farts in a jar could ward off the black death.

(Excerpt from the book Why You Should Store Your Farts in a Jar by David Haviland)
The Black Death was one of the deadliest plagues in human history. Between 1348 and 1350 it killed around 1.5million people in Britain...
....
........................................
Since it was believed that the plague was caused by deathly vapors, it therefore made sense that other foul smells might help to ward off the disease. Some doctors therefore recommended keeping dirty goats inside the home, to create a therapeutic stink. Others suggested using another source of foul odors: our own farts. However rather than waste the precious pungencies, people were instead advised to store their farts in jars, which could then be opened and inhaled the next time the deadly pestilence appeared in the neighbourhood.

If anyone can find out how to store farts in jars, do tell me. Eat lotta lotta beans and store them. It could be such a nasty gift to prank someone especially with a label.. "Summer Scents in a Jar".

This is a really interesting funny book to read. Dommy was last seen grinning to himself while reading this book. If you have not read it, go out and get a copy :) And no... i was not paid or given a free copy to review.

Tuesdays are the only days i am up before the sun comes up. Usually i am up before the alarm goes off. Dommy will be fidgetting in his bed with a i need to pee i need to pee look. We out to the porch at 6am and he does his business and sniff some tires to check out who's been in our garden at night.

Then i wait for my helper from the village. She comes to help me clean the house. My hands are not very good around soaps n too much washing. Even though i pay her, i treat her like an aunt. She potters around and we chat and i help her lift some stuffs. She does an honest 2 hours of cleaning. She is a blessing to me.

I am quite the bin when it concerns food. On somedays, when my dad goes out with his friends for lunch or dinner, i'll entertain myself by being da bin. Yesterday i had all the below because my dad went out for lunch and dinner.
  • coffee
  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 1 piece of egg toast
  • coffee
  • 1 piece of leftover chinese peanut pancake
  • 3 slices of bread with sliced ham and jam + cheese
  • yogurt
  • milo
  • ABC soup
  • a piece very nice fried chicken
  • 2 pieces of orange jaffa cake
  • 1/2 of a tiny mooncake
I am keeping a record of what i ate yesterday because i seemed to eat a LOT thru the day but i was still hungry at 9pm. Strange.

Jaffa cakes reminds me of Wilf. Don't know when this box appeared in our fridge. But these were chocolate coated and really soft and nice. I could eat the whole box but i will feel sick after that. Dommy didn't get to eat any of this and he's not talking to me now.

That's all for today. Back to work. I will remain tranquilo regarding work :) Do not worry Georgia.

Here's our lovers at the shelter. They are always together. Snuggling... and so in love. My two friends Garfield (the boy) and Panther (the girl).

Its been a week since we last posted.. *LOL* We tried. We did try to post but soonest we did, we got sidetracked elsewhere. We have cut down on our cat watching :) Dom said that if i didn't post soon, he'll ignore me and won't let me rub his curly tummy. Hmmmm...

Last weekend was nice. A time to catch up with some folks and a time for the older folks to catch up with extended families. Since i am much of a lazy bugger lately, we'll post more pictures hopefully next Wednesday when we should be doing the Wordless :)

@ the gravesite

My ole car coughed its way to Lenggong... and brought us back safely. We just couldn't keep up with the Evo and the Civic. The X-trail was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ahead because the passengers had to be back to Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon. But we made it slowly... and surely.

Lenggong is still Lenggong. Very much the same as how i saw it when i was a kid. Its like a cowboy town with 2 rows of shops on the main street. The bus station is the same as how my grandpa had left it a very long time ago (Grandpa used to be the station master there). The freshwater fishballs (saito fishballs) are still the same. Just very expensive now for a tiny ball. But its super duper delicious and should not be missed if you ever make it here to Lenggong.

Not much going on there anymore as more and more young people have moved to bigger towns. But... they are building a big maternity hospital beside the big graveyard. How spooky can that be. Or maybe someone is pulling our legs about the hospital.

The road to Lenggong is not too windy now. There's a new highway that takes us there in half the time. My sister used to be sick in the car all the way to Lenggong. The trunk road is a super nice route to drive if you like the left and right and left and right driving. It used to be that windy all the way.

One of these days, I might just gather a few friends and drive all the way to Betung, Thailand. My uncle told me it only took him 3 hours to get there from Ipoh. But i drive like an old lady, so it might take us 4.

On our way back to Ipoh, we stop by another smaller town along the way. Sauk. This is where we had our lunch.. and the one hour wait for the food to be served is well worth it.

The famous freshwater fishballs... when you bite into it, the taste is divine.. *LOL*

Fish stomach cooked in garlic ginger sauce...

I don't remember if this was pork or chicken... but it was cooked in some sweet sauce ;)

The food pictures above are for my sisters to drool over. That's my wicked revenge to them for not making it home. WAHAHAHAHA... they sure know what they have missed now.

After they served the third dish, i dump the camera quickly and ate to my hearts content. The fishballs were flying off the plate in two blinks of an eye. *LOL* My aunt asked me, don't you want to take the rest of the dishes? No way... i am famished. I should have.. i know. The catfish was really big and fresh and deeeeeeeeelicious. But i was famished. Next time i'll try to have more control :)

Sunday evening i got a call from a close friend. She said that she has a watermelon in her that is growing too fast and she was scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. Her fibroid grew too fast and too furiously. We talked and she was very worried. She kept asking me, how can this happen. The doctor said that he might need to remove her womb if its bad inside. Given a choice of having a child one day and saving your life now, you don't really have much of a choice when things like this happen.

Her surgery went well. She's still weak and can hardly speak. But she'll recover fast. She's a trooper. Her womb is saved.

Another very close friend called me on Tuesday to tell me her checkup was not good. She has multiple breast lumps and they have to be removed soon. A quick scan showed that she had multiple fibroids too. A double dose of trouble. A history of breast cancer running in the family is not a good thing too.

Sometimes we hope that things like this will not happen to us. We feel that it can only happen to other people but not us. But when it does, what do we do.

One day at a time. We go one day at time. Seize the day today. Carpe diem.

Clueless.. i am clueless on most days. Especially clueless in the mornings when i am not wide awake yet.

For the past few weeks, i have been getting up at 6am. For me... 6am is like the best time to sleep. But hell no... both Dommy and Piper are like birds. They are early birds. They both sleep in their own beds in my room. But a tiny movement from me.. or a turn, will get them both excited. They would think that its morning even though it could be 3am. They would get all excited to get up and shake their butts and eager to go out with the "i need to pee look".

The reason i get up at 6am is to get myself ready to send my nephew off to college before i start work myself at home. I could let him drive himself to college but he just got his licence a few months back. The early morning traffic is horrendous on the highway. And you have flying empty lorries on all three lanes of the highway rushing off to the port. Most of the time, he is not even awake yet to drive. Yes.. i think i pamper him too much. *LOL* But he's only 17.

To get to his college takes about 30 minutes and to get back to the house.. another 30 minutes. It takes me about an hour to and fro. Sometimes it takes about an hour and a half for me to get home to turn on the yellow blinkers.

On some days, i'll drop by the wet market near his college and get some grubs and stuffs to cook for dinner later in the day. Probably take me about 15mins to do a very fast marketing.. hahhahahaha I get fresh fruits... fresh meat and some vegetables too. The breafast and nasi lemak at the market is not too bad either. They come in very big portions for a steal.

Some days i get a bit hoity toity for my own good :) Usually i'll pass by McDonalds, KFC, Dunkin Donuts on the highway. They seem to call out to me with their bright colourful signboards. Come come come and get some donuts.. or come and get McDonalds breakfast.. :) I don't quite like KFC in the morning.. hahaha

I love McDonalds breakfast. But the coffee is crappy as hell. Arabica coffee... yucks! Its just bitter. Even with sugar, it kind of leaves a dark aftertaste in your mouth.

Today i went to pump some petrol and walla... Dunkin Donuts seems to be sending some positive vibes to me. I needed a sugar fix and and and i fell prey to the lovely donuts on the tray. Donuts and i go a long way. I have a mighty sweet tooth and one of the reasons why i don't really have much teeth left on me *LOL*

Since no one in this household fancy donuts except me, i only got two dreamy donuts. Yum yummmmm :) When i was about to pay.. i was going.. urmm.. maybe i could use a fancy coffee. I decided to give myself a big treat. Walking to the car, i grin like a silly goose while clutching the two soft donuts in the bag and the coffee in the other hand.

When i reach my car, i automatically put my cuppa of coffee on the roof of my car while i search for my keys in my pockets :D I drove off slowly and the donuts seem to be screaming at me.. EAT ME EAT ME... Being the glutton that i am... i parked my car a few meters away and quickly munch on one of the soft donuts. Yummmmmmmmmm. Then it hit me.. where's my coffee?

Damn! I must have left it on the roof of my car. I quickly got out of my car... and walla! There sits my beautiful coffee. Not a drop missing. It was just clinging on for dear life when i drove that few meters. *LOL* Good thing i drive like an old lady and i didn't make any sharp turns. I think the cars around me would be thinking why this idiot is driving around with her coffee on the roof.

The donuts did save the day and the coffee. Dunkin Donut's coffee is better.. nicer.. smoother.. urmm.. urmm.. maybe coffee that is "saved" taste like a million bucks.. hehehhee.. Not that i know how a million bucks taste like.

The internet service here is crawling like a snail this week. Is it me or is everyone experiencing exceptionally slow internet speed? I am crawling at 1Mbps.. hahahahahaa... It is almost an impossible feat to do any updates on heavy websites. Ah well... i think i'll go read a book for now. This slow speed is driving me up the wall.

Oh.. i am currently reading this. How to Behave So Your Dog Behaves by Sophia Yin.

I got it from Borders on Monday. We are just a few pages into the book. Both Dommy and i are reading it together ;p This book might help me to understand my dogs better and their behaviours. It is suppose to teach me how to behave so that my dogs behaves :) The book was going for a steal :D

I was searching for Emila's My Mother's Garden in Borders. I couldn't find the book that Emila wrote and illustrated in Borders yet. But its available at Kinokuniya. Maybe i'll go drop by Kinokuniya soon :)

If you have a kid, this book would be a wonderful book for him/her. Its beautifully illustrated and i just can't wait to get my hands on it. Visit her e-shop to get it if you are overseas and interested to buy it. Here's the link. My Mother's Garden @ Emila's Littleshop
During the school holidays last week, i took the time to go back to the office to visit my friends and to share and transfer some files. Going back to the office is always nice. I have missed my colleagues each and every single day but they are with me all the time on yahoo. Its like i never left the office at all :D

Even spinning up the parking lot thrills me because i have been going up and down the narrow car park for many years. We know each and every turn like the back of our hands. It used to thrill me so much... i'll spin right up to the top floor just for kicks. Now my colleagues are afraid of the carpark because a van belonging to the management is parked on the first floor. A lot of ghost stories are sparked off because of that van. Its a kereta mayat aka a hearse.

When i am in the office, my colleagues tend to eat more (thats what they said). As usual, they will first take me to the Yellow Table Cloth place. The food is quite good there. But i used to hate to go there because their table cloth stinks. *LOL* It used to. Now they've changed all their table cloth to red.. and it doesn't stink anymore. But i still annoy my colleagues by shaking my head when they say that we are going to the Yellow Table Cloth place. Urmm.. i don't even know the name of the shop because we always refer it as the Yellow Table Cloth place :) For the records... Anne & Esther.. i do love the food there. I just like to annoy both of you :D Don't you know me by now? hehehehe
We did have a very nice lunch there. And when we got back to the office, they were planning where to go for lunch the next day *LOL*

Our office is basically our playground. No stiff neck-tie people working there. People are relaxed but they do work hard and complete their work with minimal supervision. Sometimes you just hear the click click click of the mouse and the tapping on the keyboards.

When i am around, there are some weird sounds and a returned echo. The echo comes from the front of the office of course. It is a really fun place to work. And we always have lotsa food and parties. We find every single reason to have a food fest :D They are still carrying on with the tradition. They still include me in the internal emails for office parties. *LOL*

Someone bought me nasi lemak for breakfast the next day :D it is reallllllllllllly nice. I really do like it. (i borrow this term usually used during our Christmas exchange gift sessions).. hahahaha.. But the nasi lemak was really nice and just spicy nice :) It was so sweet of her.

Next time don't forget to include my kerang ahh... wake up earlier la and buy me my nasi lemak with kerang.. (i know u love me Anamaa :) hehehehe.. and the usual response from Anamaa from the earlier statement would be "IDIOT".

After my nasi lemak binge... i was still feeling full but they still dragged me out to eat again. It was 12 already.. and we always go out to eat at 12. They have been discussing what to eat for lunch the whole morning.. *LOL* We went to ResTrees across the road. Yep.. they dragged me across the road. And someone calling me idiot all the way.. hahhahahahaa We were just like a bunch of school kids.. trying to cross a big road.

ResTrees is a pretty neat place to eat for the ambience. The exterior is like a log cabin and when you are inside, you feel like you are in one in a jungle... well.. sort of. Ahhh.. i forgot the camera to the office this trip. Their teh tarik was nice. The chicken wings were burnt. And waffles was not bad :D They even have this tiny button on each table to beep for the waiters.

In the evening, we went out to get more food from Jaring. Jaring serves one of the best ikan bakar (grilled fish on banana leaves). They have different kinds of fishes you'll be spoilt for choice. Since it is the puasa month, they don't serve lunch (else we'll be showing our faces there too). But in the evenings, they have the ayam golek (which is very expensive now for a small bird) and an assortment of sweet cakes and fishes. Even their soups are very extremely nice... Sup Tulang. Jaring is in Sunway near the Piramids. If you know where Domino's Pizza is, Jaring is just beside Dominos.

My colleague treated me to a very nice banana leaf Indian rice for lunch the next day. More food *LOL*. There's so many things to choose from the varieties that lay before me. I didn't know what to take. Being the complete glutton that i am, i wanted to take everything. But i stopped myself and just took some chicken, vegetables and sauces. Even the rasam was real nice. The rasam came in a small steel cup.

After 3 complete days of playing and stuffing my face in the office, it was time to go home. My work was getting lagged. But i have had a great time with my friends in the office. One of them mentioned that they think more about food when i am around. *LOL* If you all gained another inch while i am around, it is not my fault. I am just the innocent one who tagged along :D
Penang is basically a foodie haven. You see food here food there.. and food is delicious everywhere. Food is also quite affordable and you get quite a good deal.

My memories of Penang has always been laksa, beach, rojak buah, beach, nasi kandar, beach, sotong goreng, beach, fried kuey teow, beach, popiah, beach, coconut, beach *LOL* The beach is a big draw.

Let us share with you what we've achieved on this trip.

We stopped by the pier to buy some coconut juice and i chatted up a local and asked her about nasi kandar. She mentioned Pelita at Market Street. But with our navigating skills, we both ended up here.

Kassim Mustafa for nasi kandar. Nasi Kandar was very delicious here. We were famished. When i looked at the rows of dishes.. i wanted to take everything. The glutton that is me. But i settled for fried chicken and crabs. Yummieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Sorry. Forgot to take pics of the food as my fingers dug into the plate of rice and both of us never stopped eating till we burped. I can still recall the scent from my fingers of the nasi kandar... bliss. I was smelling my fingers all the way back to the hotel :D

We had the yumyums below for dinner at the food court in Tanjong Bungah. Its not a hoity toity place and the food was great. Even the drinks and juices were nice.

This is prawn mee or "mee udang" as the locals call it. The sauce is berry berry delicious. Stormy tells me that there's a stall in Sungai Dua in Butterworth. Its famous for mee udang. And the prawns are very fresh.
This was delicious too. And the prawns are cooked just right. Not overcooked and hard.
This is fried mee udang. Just as delicious... Aiyaa.. now my tummy is growling like a bear.

Satay. We took this a bit too late. Already finished half of it.. hehehhehee

Sotong Kangkong with rojak sauce.

Rojak with lotta fruits and a thick thick sauce...

dejavuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.. hehhehehehehe

here we go again... hahhahahahahaha
If Stormy didn't take pictures of the food, i won't have any pictures of food to show you. *LOL* I am such a glutton. The minute i see food, i dug in.
And we had fried kuey teow too. Delicious too and three :)
In the morning i ran across the road to buy nasi lemak from the stall in front of Holiday Inn. The stalls sells a very delicious prepacked nasi lemak for RM1.20 a pack. It has a big prawn inside the pack of nasi lemak. Only in Penang will you get a big mother of a prawn in a RM1.20 pack of nasi lemak. And some fresh fried hot chicken :) We just couldn't stop eating.. hahaha
I hope i have maybe minutely tantalize you with all this food to go to Penang :) I am sure one of my sisters will kick me soon for posting all this food pictures and make her salivate and miss Malaysian food more. Its my diabolical plan to pester her home soon with my godson.
This trip is a bit short because i didn't find the Blue House yet. Let's go again Stormy :) Soon ya!
Today is Bak Chang Day. (Bak Chang means Pork Dumpling in Hokkien).

Duanwu Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival (or Tuen Ng Festival (in Cantonese pronunciation) is a Chinese traditional and statutory holiday. It is a public holiday in China and Taiwan, where it is called the "Duānwǔ Jié" and a public holiday in Hong Kong and Macau, where it is called the "Tuen Ng Jit". In English it is also referred to as "Dragon Boat Festival", after one of the traditional activities for the holiday. (info from Wikipedia)

I call it Bak Chang Day because the festival is associated with Bak Chang. You see a lot of Bak Changs hanging around in households and many will make the Bak Chang yesterday itself or much earlier. Lots of exchanging Bak Changs too from one household to another.

Lots of auntie auntie were buying last minute stuffs at the market yesterday to make the bak chang. It was like Chinese New Year. They were excited and chattering about like little birds. *lol* As clueless as i am always, i didn't know it was going to be Bak Chang day today. (i wasn't called a banana for nothing)

My mom used to make one of the nicest sweet smelling Bak Chang's ever. I never did find any other Bak Chang close enough to hers. She used to make a lot of Bak Changs when we were little. We'll have it for breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and supper. After a few days of eating Bak Changs, you'll even start dreaming of Bak Changs falling on you. *lol*

It is a very tedious affair. She'll wake up real early and get all the stuffs ready. Lay all the stuffs on the floor in bowls, plates and the glutinous rice in a big tub. She needed to sit on the floor because the strings to tie the Bak Changs were hanging on the door handle. hehehehe

When we woke up, we all all surround her like a surround sound system... and play with the stuffs. I never like the black eye peas (not the band Black Eye Peas) so i'll always have special orders. I'll tell her i want this and that.. and no black eye peas. Mom will wrap it up and tie a small string to indicate that is my order. After a while, we will start to disturb her to let us try to make our own Bak Changs. She'll give in and let us try. Usually we get too greedy and pack too much in the leaves. When we try and fold it back, it will burst! *LOL* Then she'll shoo us away.

I never did learn how to make Bak Chang when i grew older. Mom stopped making Bak Changs when we were older. It was way too tedious. And there's not so many of us around to eat it too.

Since today is Bak Chang Day or Duānwǔ Jié, i'll share with you what we have for dinner. Its not a feast but its our usual stuffs plus the Bak Changs i bought from the auntie in the market. That is me trying hard to keep up with traditions. Maybe i'll even attempt to make Bak Changs next year if i hear the aunties chirping a bit earlier about Bak Chang Day *LOL* I got to go consult an expert cook of an aunt first :D

Tadaaaa...

fried fishes

stir fried ladies fingers and kacang botol

old cucumber soup

bought Bak Chang to substitute rice
Mundane stuffs but its already a feast for the three of us. I think one of my sisters will be salivating over this food. *LOL*
Happy Duānwǔ Jié to those that are celebrating :)
Ops! I almost forgot.. i found this on Youtube this morning from The Star. If anyone is attempting to do this Bak Chang... here's how...

My hunger and thirst for books... magazines. Anything to feed my eyes and mind. Err.. sometimes i don't finish reading some of the books or magazines. They are just there, and i pick them up again few weeks or months later.

Some make me yawwwwwnnn.. hehhehehee.. so its left longer till i grow up a little and continue when my mind is more receptive of the stuffs in it.

The books or magazines which i do buy a lot are recipes books. I love to look at the pictures and salivate.. hahahhahaha.. no no no... i love to see the pictures and see how dishes are cooked. I do like to cook. But sometimes ideas ran out. And my beloved oven is far far awayyyyyyyy :( Its too big to be brought home when i scooted home 2 years back. So now its just gathering dust in the other home.

Oh ya.. i found a good book/magazine of recipes yesterday at the market. Yes yes.. i get my magazines fix from the market... the magazine/newspaper stand is not bad. They have most of the magazines from the local bookstores plus its service with a smile. I even get my photography magazine from the market too. *LOL* If they have a bookstore in the market, i'll be sitting there and going there more often :)

The magazine is called "Old Fashioned Nyonya Cuisine". Its supercool because i find a lot of my mom's recipe in it :D They even have a tagline that goes... "Now everybody can easily cook Nyonya dishes with Chef Ricky's recipes!" I hope this Chef Ricky is right.

My daily routine is to cook dinner for dad, Boy and I. They are not fussy eaters. And i am not a very good cook to begin with.. hehhehehee.. Just the normal soups and dishes. Mundane stuffs. Sometimes spaghetti or the chicken chop but that would take a longer time. And i really only have an hour to cook before everyone is hungry. *lol*

Even Dommy sits in the kitchen faithfully waiting for his dinner to be served too. hahahahaa.. Food always lights up his eyes. *lol*

Sometimes its a wee bit tiring. Sometimes i hang up the aprons and refuse to cook. Sometimes... sometimes i just wish i was at the beach again, just sitting on the shore and listening to the waves. The sound of the waves is almost hypnotic.

I'll share some of the recipes with you as i go along. Now i gotta go. Some "beeps" on them yahoos.

While on my quest for the Ayama, I found something green along the way.. hehehe

Hello peeps, just a short break from my cave dwelling :) I kinda miss all of you suddenly... err.. all the time too. The wifi in the cave only allows me to twit and twit on my faithful berry. My constant never-ending rants of life. Where else can i offload my rants but here on Piper's Kingdom.

Some of you would have seen this jolly green guy before... that is if you are or have been to Blue Earth, Minnesota.

And why do i love this green sexy guy in a leafy tunic? Ain't the boots super cool? hehehehe I wish they have these boots in my size too.

I love this green guy because i love corn. And one of the best corn in a can that i love is from him.

The issue of the green giant came along because my baby sister just called and ask me some stuffs about salads.. and i told her to pop a can of corn in it too. It kinda gives a sweet taste to the salads and what is salad without corn :D I told her.. but it must be ONLY Green Giant Corn. Then she said.. but i am in Tesco.. not Giant (Giant is another supermarket in Malaysia). Then i laughed and laughed... i told her deyyyyyyyyyy... Green Giant Corn laa.. the can has a Green Giant on it.. *lol*

And so... here i am... posting about the Green Giant which i love. Once upon a time, this can of corn did return some sanity to a very homesick friend ;)

Now i gotta run, crawl, scoot back to my cave. Dommy is waiting. We are gonna go hunt for some spiders for Stormy. The niblets are supa supa supa doopa nicerrrrrrrrrrrrrr :D

The Jolly Green Giant is a symbol of the Green Giant food company of the United States, appearing as a smiling green-skinned giant wearing a tunic, wreath and boots made of leaves. In 1973, JGG teamed up with "Little Green Sprout", the diminutive young green giant. Created by Leo Burnett, the Giant first appeared in advertisements in 1928; the name originally came from a variety of unusually large pea called the "Green Giant" that the company canned and sold. (more on Wikipedia)

In the still of the night
My tum tum rumbles like a big gigantic wave
In a blurry state of rumbles
I smile when I see this

Deliciously tempting
I ran and embrace him
He satisfies my hunger
He fills me up and end my rumbles

Oh no! Only four left.. hehehehehe

This is one of the most deliciously made bread from Gardenia. A lot of us bread lovers are rushing to 7-Eleven and grabbing these breads off the shelf like they are free. *lol* It finishes so fast... even before you can blink your eyes.

I can even finish a whole loaf all by myself while watching tv. Boy and i would go to 7-Eleven... like going on a secret mission. I drop Boy.. he runs in.. grab a loaf.. pay it and runs out smiling broadly. If i don't see a smile on his face.. means mission failed. No more Butterscotch bread. Dang!

If he comes out with a huge smile... aha! Mission accomplished. We grab the bag and open it quickly and devour it instantly like a bunch of loonie tunes.. *LOL* Its like a fix. Fix on a bread. hahahahaha.. You have to try.. that is if you love butter. Even Dommy loves this. One loaf is sure never enough to go around.

Hmm.. my wicked mind have a great idea suddenly. Since there are only four left... both Dommy and i will just eat it all since everyone is asleep. No saving the best for last.

My blogger buddies who loves Gardenia Butterscotch to0... Bem69, Mariuca (read about their Butterscotch experience too)

I bet they are munching on the breads too now.. :) Maybe we can start a Geng of Butterscotch bread soon. Goodnite folks! Have a great weekend ahead.

According to wiki...
Roti Tissue, or Tissue Prata is one of the most creative looking Mamak food, sometimes known as Roti Helikopter (Helicopter bread). Roti Tissue is a much thinner version of traditional Roti canai, almost as thin as a piece of 40-50cm round-shaped tissue. The finishing touches to (the making of) Roti Tissue require skill, and they depend on the creativity of the person who makes it. Roti Tissue is available at most local Mamak stalls in Malaysia and Singapore.
Roti tissue is sometimes coated with sweet substances, like sugar and Kaya (jam). It is now a delicious dessert.

Roti tissue is also a very good dessert to have at the mamaks.. where friends can all share and tuck into it while chatting the time away. Most people are in awe of the creativity of some mamak stalls which can create a roti tissue which just shocks you the minute it arrives at the table. Most people will just have a good laugh or be in awe with mouths wide-open.. kinda like this :O

and here i am... the roti tissue wannabe :)
