We only went to the vampires vet on Saturday for my results. We were supposed to go on a Friday but my cow was needed at work. I was going YahooooooOOO and a YahoooOOOOO and a woooOOOOOOFFFF.

Come Saturday and she remembered. She tricked me into the car. I thought we were going for car rides. I got tricked again... and we ended up at the vampires.

I was shivering and shivering and refusing to get down and this time i gave her a hard time. I jumped from seat to seat and she was like a crazy cow opening this door and that door. I think the vampires were laughing at her behind the glass doors.

I was finally nailed down caught and carried into them vampire's vet's office.

Dommy: Be with me will ya. These vampires are no good people. They just want my blood. All of my blood.

The cow: We are just here for the results. No more blood taking okay.

Dommy: Are you sure? They look like they want my blood.

The cow: Just results and stop shaking will you.

I was made to wait and i had to lie down on this cold metal thingy. Won't you be afraid if you were me. I am just a Curly with a weak heart you know. Why do you make me wait and shiver and make my heart go faster and faster. I got a murmur you know.

The door. My escape route... How do i open the dooorrrrrrrrrrrrrr... HELPPPPPPPPP!

Don't take my bloooooooooooood pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Don't take my bloooooooddddd.

YAY! We are done. Can we go get some ice-cream please.

They took all my blood.. All of my blood. I am so drained... The vampires took all my blood.

I am so tired i can't even open my eyes. I'll let my cow continue this post.

xoxo,
Dommy

Dommy's bloodworks was good overall. He can go off the prednisone. His blood platelets has gone up a lot which is a good thing. His liver markings are not too great. Could be the prednisone that he was taking for a month.

The vets had a hard time taking another tube of blood from him this time as they need to check on his thyroid. They couldn't test with the earlier sample they took the other day as he has to have the medicine at least 4 - 6 hours before a blood sample is taken. I kinda messed up the timing in the earlier bloodworks and so i subjected him to another blood donation drive to the vampires. Poor guy. He was fidgetting so much, they got to get two vets in to get a sample. He was looking at me with the saddest eyes and telling me HELP ME HELP ME.

We also checked his eyes as i've noticed there are some grey areas. He's in the early stages of cataract. As the vet says, he'll see shapes but he cannot see very well now. Cataract operation is not an option as it is very expensive here and we do not want to subject him to so much pain and discomfort. As long as he is happy and eating well, we will enjoy our days of grace with him.

Thank you all for crossing your fingers, toes and paws. You are all great people. We are thankful to you for keeping Dommy in your thoughts and prayers.

He's back to being a robust dog at 8.4kgs today.

Dommy's cow.
You guys have been going Awwwwwwww over Mr P's picture on the last post. How come you all never go Awwwwwwwwwwww over mine. I am just as adorable you know. Sometimes i can be super adorable too.

This is Mr. P way back in the ole days when there were no color pictures. He's just one year old then. That's really a loooooooooooong time ago. Now he's an old cow like my cow. He looks so darn adorable here. Now he cannot do adorable. He's old. Really... he is old. He's gonna be 7 soon.

My cow has not been cooking for me lately. She just gives me chicken and some carrots. From chicken backs to chicken drumsticks. She just serves them raw with my kibbles. I think she is just plain lazy but the chicken does taste very good. I love to munch on the bones and they go krek krok krek krok. She says my breath don't smell like the sewer now. Hmmmm...

She also checks my poo regularly as she is my poo scooper. I sometimes do my business in the garden and sometimes on our walks. When she scoops the poo, she kinds of takes a minute to analyse it. She's weird. I know. Who goes around checking other people's poo right?

She says that my poo is more compact now. And beautiful. How do you rate poo as beautiful. Only she can call it beautiful. Hmmm... Sometimes when she doesn't scoop my poo in the garden, it turns white overnight. I got them white poos.

I am now on 50% on raw and 50% kibbles. I get an occational fish which i share with Transformer Tabby. Sometimes Charlie Chaps gets a slice too. Transformer Tabby needs more fish as she's thin like a stick.

Here's Transformer Tabby. She's awfully thin. I don't steal her food all the time. Just sometimes when she is done eating. But she's still thin even though she eats all the time. We make sure she has 2 meals a day. Sometimes 3. I share my chicken and fishes with her. She is the only cat i like in my garden. The rest i just chase them away or up the mango tree because sometimes they bob me on the head. Transformer Tabby is my friend. She never bobs me on the head.

I went to them vampire v-e-t-s today and they stole my blood. They took a wholeeeeeeeeeee tube of blood for them checks as i'm done with my course of prednisone. I was also poked on them ears for blood to check for e-platys. Even though i am on a tick medicine, i still get an occational tick or two as i love to roll on them grass. Its the season, the vampires vet said. This year's been an extremely bad tick season here in our country.

Vampire is afraid that i will bite.. *LOL*
because my stupid cow says that i might if i am poked and prod too long

i went to a new vampire v-e-t as she was refered to by the nice v-e-t in Kuala Lumpur. She is nice and i could like her you know. That is until she took the termometer and stuck it up my behind. Then she listened to my heart to check on my murmur.

I've kind of developed a kind of tightness on my back. It could be muscles but its kind of tight on both side and my cow got worried. She was afraid that it might be my kidneys that are swelled up. But i don't feel any pain when she pressed it. I didn't flinch. The vampire pressed it too and then she took out this machine on wheels to scan my back. She put a lot of gel on my tummy and back and scan here and there and turn me around. I was not too happy about them gels and turning round and round.

My blood tests will be out tomorrow and i will have to go to them vampires again on Friday to discuss on my follow up course of treatment.

The good news is, my weight has gone up to 8.4kgs. I was 7.9kgs on my last v-e-t visit. My cow's been finding it hard to lift me up now. She says i am like a ton of bricks. She's such a weakling. I am as light as a feather. I used to weigh 9.3kgs before i got sick.

As my lazy cow do not cook for me anymore, she's gonna go and cut up some nice yummy chicken for me now. Its my dinner time and i am famished.

I sure hope that i don't need to be on too many medicine after this. Prednisone, if taken for too long can screw up my liver. I do want to live a long time. I don't think my cow can make it without me to nag her and to keep her busy. She is such a weakling you know.

Sure hope my bloodworks come out beautiful. Have a most beautiful day everyone. I know i will.

xoxo,
Dommy

“I am not afraid of tomorrow,
for I have seen yesterday
and I love today.”
~ William Allen White
This is me before i became a schnoodle. In the warmth of the morning sun, my cow took many pictures of me  before i become naked without them furs. I think i look like a lion here. *ROOOOOOOARRRRRRRRR*

SHE always likes me fluffy but SHE is always lazy.

I do love noodles especially pasta with my kibs and them juicy chickens.

When i was in Piper's home, Piper's daddy kept calling me Rod Stewart. I do not know who is Rod Stewart but i hear that he makes great music. I don't make music but being associated with a musicman is an honorable thing... i think.

Now they call me Tintin's dog. I don't know who is this Tintin. But if he has a dog, i wanna know him too. They say that Tintin's dog is very famous and he's Snowy. I wonder if he'll share his noms with me.

I am not hungry all the time now as my prednisone is tapered now. I am in my third week on prednisone. I think i have a prednisone coated stomach now. One more week and i shall have to go to a dreadful v-e-t to have my blood drawn for bloodworks. Hopefully there will be some marked improvements in my results and i can be off them steroids.

Its lonely here without Mr. P. There's no one to bark with me and no one to steal food from. I wonder how he is doing over there. There's only this annoying brown mini poodle that barks the whole entire day when i try to nap. Don't they know that when dogs bark, they are either lonely or need some hugs. They have this tiny poodle tied up the whole entire day. Won't you be barking if you are tied up the whole entire day. Silly neighbours. I'll go over later and send her a peemail.

All the cats came back to eat at the back garden the day we arrived. We are just missing Blue Eyes. Blue Eyes is the only one that my grandpa likes. I like Blue Eyes and Lil Tabby too. I wonder where he went. He is such an adventurous fella. He must be off on some great adventure.

This is Blue Eyes. If any of you see him... can you ask him to come back please.

The house is most quiet and SHE is a lazy cook now. She only cooks a whole pot of stuff and not many dishes. I think by month's end, both Grandpa and i will have to find some other people to cook for us. SHE has become a lazy dood.

I see my silly cow heading off to the kitchen now. I sure hope SHE cooks grandpa and i something delicious today. Wish us luck.
I love this tee because there is an idiot outside taking this picture.

I am still at Piper's home. Over here there's loads of nice doggies to sniff and they always... always leave big big mails by the trees and on the roads. I get to check my mails every evening when my cow takes me for my walks.

I get extra tummy rubs and hugs more these days. I am not sure why but i kinda like them anyways.

My cow giving me tummy rubs when i nap

From my latest diagnosis and blood works from Piper's vet, i am now on

Oroxine for hypothyroidism
Steroids for my auto immune disease and tapered down slowly for this month
Antibiotics for suspected e.platys

We did an xray of my heart again. We have to stop the Fortekor in the meantime as the medicine will not go well with the steroids.

My cow cum my nurse aide is staggering my medicines throughout the day so that it will easier for me to cope. She is quite confused so she has all my medicine and timing all written on her book.

I seem to pee more and sometimes we pee in the early mornings. I did a big leak at 4.30am this morning. To avoid having big leaks accidents in the house, we go out early in the mornings and i get to leave the first mail for all the doggies in the neighbourhood. How cool is that. Sometimes Piper follows me and leaves a leak too. His mails always comes second.

SHE is watching me like a hawk for any side effects. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. But if the "watching like a hawk" comes with tummy rubs and hugs, i am okay with it.

Life With Dogs did a wonderful post on Canine Hypothyroidism. Do jump over to read about it if you want to be in the know about this condition.

Dommy
It is the summer... and during summers, people can be allowed to be lazy. Right? It is mid August... and we are picking up speed at work again. Gone are the shaking legs and bum days. July was pretty nice. We had a bit of a lull at work when the markets go for their summer breaks.

My mind hasn't been here or there lately. I took almost 2 weeks to learn something new. The heart is just not in it. But work has to be done eventually. Things can be easily done when you set your mind to get it done. A much wasted 2 weeks of dog dreaming.

I've just been bogged with things about the Curly. Things to cook for the Curly. Things to make the Curly eat. During these past weeks, i have become a chef for a Curly. Perhaps i am a bit crazy.

Everyday, my mind do whizzes and whooshess. I think i am in trouble. Curly's got the upperhand now and he is now the top dog. He has gotten me to handfeed him every single meal. He just gives me the.. feed me or i'll faint look. And i'll be on my knees beside him begging him to eat. Hmmm... Do you think i should starve him a bit? Till he eats on his own?

I can't be cruel to a sick dog. Can i?

I've always believed that you must teach a person to fish than to fish for the person. If you keep fishing for the person, the person will be dependent on you for the rest of his/her entire life. Same goes with feeding our furries. If they are hungry, they will go to their food and eat them eventually. Right?

But if you touch his curly tummy and its all sunken in and he looks hungry and tired but will not eat from his bowl, won't you handfeed him? Maybe i should buy him a new bowl. Maybe he got bored of his bowl. Maybe his bowl smells of stainless steel.

Oh for god sakes... please eat Dommy.

I have tried all kinds of food for him. I've read so many many sites on feeding our furries. We even tried a raw diet. Piper enjoyed his piece of meaty raw chicken and even sneak the bone back to his bed to enjoy it slowly. For someone with very small teeth, he manage to finish up the bone with a big big smile on his face.

raw moment

We ended up washing his bed and pikachu after his meal. Dom... he just have a few tiny pieces of raw chicken. Handfed.

My dad was appalled that i am feeding them raw chicken. He asks me again and again about bacteria and stuffs. He just had this shocked look on his face. He kept asking me if i am doing the right thing.

I did do my research before i handed a raw piece of meat to Piper and Dom. Piper has been with us since he was a kitten puppy. We never feed him anything raw before. Its always cooked and he always have kibbles with cooked chicken meat or peas or carrots. On some occasions, he have some broth and some sauces with his kibbles. But never anything raw.

The 1/2 an egg thief

Dom might have some raw meat before when he was living in Australia. Some people swear by the raw diet. I am just wondering, how many of you out there serve your furries a complete raw diet. I am thinking of going that way with Dom when he gets better.

I am pushed to explore the possibilities of feeding a raw diet as i'm almost at the end of the rope on what to feed Dom. I want him to be well and i just want him to eat.

If you guys would be so kind, please help me with the polls on the top right corner. Thank you.

On one of my own saddest day, i was able to stuff myself with food to sustain and to live. I did not want to allow myself to be sick and to breakdown. Somehow it was the right thing to do. When i am sick, i still try to drag myself to cook something to eat. Eating is a way to live. Why does he not want to eat like he used to?

Curly is sleeping most of the time

We went for the follow-up visit to the vet to get his heart medicines last Friday. He trotted in to the clinic on his own. The vet says he looks much much better but no baths yet.. still. Dom was all smiles when the vet didn't put the termometer up his "toot". He was all smiles when it was time to go home.

We have rain these past few days. The air is so much better. Its cooler in the afternoons too.

I just tweeted the word FML a while ago. For some reasons, i was having my FML moment. It soon passed. For some who are not in the know about the abbreviation FML, google it ya.

This is a good site to have a laugh when you feel like you are having a FML moment. My FML moment passed soonest i read some of other people's FML moments. Here.. have a laugh. www.fmylife.com
